88 workcar, check out the crap 60 ft on 28 in tall et streets. Lots of 1/8 mile though and good mph. Thats all motor. I have a 100 and 150 shot waiting for me to figure out the traction. I have sprayed in 2nd gear and gone 125 mph. Gotta get it out of the hole though

Whats your suspension, and how many PSI do you run in those slicks? How good of a burn out do you do?

i have steeda"S drg pac 2. Drag springs, an airbag, steeda's double adjustable uppers and steeda's aluminum lowers, those tokio (sp) 5 way adjustable struts. 28, 11.5, by 15 mt et streets. Got a tremek tko2 and 4.10s. When i put the 28's on, i noticed that 1 tire rubbed and 1 did not. I adjusted the uppers until the rear was square. I'm not sure my pinion angle is right anymore. I'll check it soon:) I wonder if getting the perfect pinion angle will give me anywhere near a 1.6anything 60 ft. Ive got the power to do it, just no grip.

When i burn out, i get just a little smoke and let it roll out, spinning.

Skyman 03-17-2003 03:28 PM

This is what you need to do.

Air those slicks down to 12psi, do a good burn out. I mean atleast 5-10 seconds of smoke. Make em good n hot, Stage it up and let your clutch out fast. Don't drop it.

You should see some 1.6's easy.

I'm gonna fed ex you my 28 spline axels:D j/k i will try that

Skyman 03-17-2003 09:54 PM

Heating up your tires will make a big difference...

I run 70/30's and eibach springs and I cut some mid 1'6s last time out w/ an ignition short that wasnt letting me get a good launch.

Get the tire pressure down and get those suckers nice and hot! Make sure you burn em forward outta the box too to burn the water off of them.

What makes a 5.0 a workcar?

The Deuce 03-18-2003 10:43 PM

Well since I can't edit that post or make it go away, I'll fess up to being a moron. I just now realized that 88workcar was being addressed, not that 84gt347 had an '88workcar'

Don't mind me, I'm going to hide in a cave for a while. http://www.ricehatersclub.com/vbulle.../outtahere.gif
