I think you have a solid mid 12 second car there. If you can get that 60ft down to a 1.8 or better 12's will come easy.

Congrats,
Later.

Not bad at all. A little tweaking here and there and you'll be deep in the 12's.

Too get those times I had to Add wieght to my car I have a Amp and a Stock tire in the back to help with Tracktion and driving in to a stiff wind as a strom was rolling in I think I can get a 13.0x out of it yet on a better day was 60's and no sun out track was cold. I am going to get my 75 shot in there very soon.

Wow, that's great, dude, congrats.

My friend has a 89 lx with an E303 cam and trick flow heads, and 24 lb injectors, and a GT40 intake, and with 4.10 gears he only went 13.26 at 106 with the same 60 foot.

Your better time with the stock cam and injectors must be attributable to your head choice. I had heard and read many good things about the AFRs, and this just agrees even further with my suspicion that they are the best heads on the market.

How would you rate them on a scale of 1-10 on quality and fitment? I think that your car has made up my mind on which heads to order.

Eric

I cant complain about mine.. out of the box and on the car...got mine a few months after they came out... daily driver too... not a prob.. dont need head bolt bushings either... they come drilled for the 302 head bolt size.. they rock... I've never seen anyone who got them NOT like them...

Well I love them myself... I think I still can get a 107-108 for a trap speed I will see with a 13.1-13.0 I will see next time out I know how to go about getting a good 60 foot in the car.

Nice run, Stang Runner!

165 AFR's with the 1.7's on a stock cam definitely good for the exhaust side of things. Nice little combo you've got there.

Take it easy,
E

Generally you will lose a little trap speed with a better 60 ft

Default trap speed.

exgmguy, how do you figure that????? I dropped 2 tenths off my 60 ft and gained 2 mph trap speed. went from a 2.0 and 2.1 to a 1.8 and 1.74 and ran 117.46 from 115.32. I depends on whats under the hood and gearing. Those times were on my former WC T-5 trans and 456's all motor, have a PA super comp C-5 auto and 4k stall. so Im not sure where ill be.......
