Took the Turbo Stang to the Track.....
Well, I just got back from the track. First time out with the combo. Hopes were for 115MPH trap speeds. First off, the tune. Timing is set to 10 degrees, with 1 set on the BTM. I have the .25 Bar spring in and I am seeing about 6PSI in every gear except 4th, where I am seeing about 12PSI at about 6000RPM. Shift Light set to 5200RPM. I was seeing 70 PSI on the FP guage at WOT. Well, first run I went 13.79@105.91 because it was spinning the tires in 4th and It, in all honesty, scared me. So, since I was ready for it the second time, it bust out a 13.40@118.39!!! Can I get a Hell Yeah? Beefy!!! 118MPH with this ultra safe tune. I check the timeing, still at 10 degrees. SO I bump up the shift light to 5400 and it goes a 13.09@120.30!! DAMN!!!! I was REALLY soft on the launch and was getting between 2.4 and 2.1 60 fts on my street tires My 1/8mi best was 8.89@89.45, which I thought was pretty soft. Over all, I am shocked! Can not belive it is going that fast on this safe of a tune. Going to put the boost controller in and hopefully, this will bring the boost back to a constant 8PSI. I know it will drop the times a little, but I need to think about the engines life now.

Thanks cheif, A few guy were there from Columbus. One dude had a Silver Fox GT with a Powerdyne on it, AFR's and a RPM Intake. It was his first time out with the car and he got it to trp 109, he was a bit disappointed, but over all, it was a nice car. Another dude had a Black 98 GT, was a little beat up. Did not get to see him race though. Both were really cool.

Gotta love it when they do that (go faster then expected). Sounds like a really solid combo just tune it safe and get some traction and have tons of fun.

I am running stock. I have a stock shortblock that was just reringed and new bearings put in it. I think the TFS heads give it like point two more so its like 9.2:1.

Is it not making enough traction in the first 3 gears to see full boost?

You sure did man! That sounds awesome. The boost controller will definatly fix that. You should get a dyno tune once your done, I bet with 8psi of intercooled turbo boost and your steup you could see 125mph with a good tuner.
