Post Track runs....new time

Well nothing too important, but i had a better mph, and ran a bit faster. I have my subframes, but haven't had them welded yet , weather was about 32-33 (burr) ok to make a long story short i burned an older 289 stang with a cam and open exhaust, ran a 77 camaro and pulled on him about two car lngth, and wasted a Bmw.

Then before i left i needed some competiton so i lined up with a 99 T/A he ran a 13.2 with dragradials, it was cool i still managed a door to door run the first 330ft, his 60 was 2.05, mine in the low 2.1 range, with dragradials i thought Ls1's were good for 1.7 60's? well it was freezing cold and i was reving my motor up and probaly physc'd him.

Nice runs. Gettin close to the 13's there. Get the gears and tires and you'll be there.

sounds like you had fun. hurts to watch those ls1's pull on the top end eh? You did well, holding him to half track!
You are going to love your sub's and gears.

Question

The guy probably didn't heat them up enough. One of our local guys (Mark) has pulled 1.7s on nittos with a M6. I pulled a 1.6 last time out on stock RSAs but my converter has alot to do with that. Was his car an A4 or M6? I ended up running a 12.222 @ 111.48 with only the mods listed below with the spare and jack removed. No suspension mods or anything else. I'm bolting on some ET streets tomorrow to try and squeek into the 11s.

Whisper lid
Amsoil filter
Ported MAF
Cleaned up throttle body
Mac headers with offroad Y-pipe
Cutout
MidWest 3200 converter

Nice runs, every little bit you can bring it down helps. I need to go to the track more but it's too damn far. Now you kind of have an idea what your Aunt's car will run huh.... just curious how many cars did he pull on you on topend? Like everyone else said GET THOSE GEARS AND SUBFRAMES AND NAIL THAT 13!

Leadsled: very nice times, wish my car did that near stock. Good luck with 11's..

Well i posted about a stock ls1 running 13.6 101, i had him (i was in front) until half track, but i was at his bumper at the top.

But the guy last night had some mods or he knew how to drive, cleanLx, i only had this guy until 330, not 660, then he pulled at least 3 cars and still walking, but i know 13.2 is not a heavily modded ls1, and it was a 6spd.

I think i could do better racing my aunt hopefully....gonna throw sub's and some pullies on tommorow.
