Default Traction beats BMW M5

My race against a BMW M5 last night. Doesn't matter how much power you have if you can't plant to the ground.

91 coupe M5

ET 1/4 mile 14.3792 14.4702
reaction time 0.5501 0.8356
1/4 mph 95.9438 105.0930
60ft 2.0938 2.6636
330 5.9789 6.6697
1/8 9.2511 9.7422

Nice kill!

What year M5 was it? I didnt realize they had that much power. 105mph is damn fast, that could go low 13's if the guy could drive it.

If it is a 2000 or newer M5 they have 5.0 V8's with 400 hp. I want one! Lets see Motor Trend test...

394 hp - 6600 rpm
368 tq - 3800 rpm

0-60 - 4.60
1/4 - 13.08/109.41

4023 lbs.
6 speed manual.

$72,000

Awesome car though. I wish I had the money for one.

It was brand new. Cool! The old stang beat a 70000 dollar car with almost 400 hp. Just goes to show you anything can happen at the strip. Probably his first time down the 1320 and lost to an old school stang.

Yeah, even the new M3's are supposed to run low 13's. The BMW M3 sedan (German version) runs 13.3 according to R & T.
