The Probe GT came with a turbo from the factory 1989-1992.

A Mazda built 2.2L SOHC I-4 was the engine of choice for the GTs. It made 145hp@4300rpm and 190lb/ft@3500rpm. Compression was 7.8:1 indicating a fair amount of boost should be possible.
