No offense, but with all those mods your Probe is unlikely to be much quicker than a high 13sec car, JuicedPGT.
I wasn't bashing Probes at all. They were never made to compete in the true ponycar segment, though. In 1993 when your 2.5L 24v DOHC V-6 rated at 164hp@6000rpm, and 156lb/ft@4000rpms, the Probe traded good midrange and top end punch for a little more top end. The result: Performance pretty much stayed the same, only mods were much harder on the newer cars, and once the market was finally there, the 2.2L's stock turbo made it a better car to mod.
The Probe, bone stock remained a low/mid 15 second car with a good driver. The Mustang is a mid 14 car off the floor with a good driver. While it's not impossible to beat a Mustang GT with a Probe GT, car for car, mod for mod, it's not about to happen. Drivers of course are the deciding factor in some races.
I don't really find much unwarranted disrespect/respect for the Probe. I do find some Probe owners thinking the Mustang GT is a bit of a pushover. With freebies and no other mods, and excellent driver can put a fox body Mustang into the 13's@100mph or so. There are stock engined 1987-1988 SD Mustang's in the 12's. They have a lot more potential than what a lot of poeple give them.
