Post 95 5.0 straight pipe

I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to get my mufflers cut off...I have a stock H pipe with cat and resonators....

do you guys think it will be loud to replace the mufflers by a piece of pie...as anyone done this on a 95?

They guy at the muffler sho says he could arrange that if I don't like it I could put back the mufflers on..

let me know what you think

Remember there;s no emition laws here....

thanks

having no cats, or in your case, no mufflers, just doesn't have enough back pressure, it would sound nice, but you would loose a little time, cause you loose torque.

He is correct! If you lose your mufflers you will not have enough back pressure and you will actually make your car slower. The only cars thatr like no back presure are cars with a turbo. Put a nice set of 80 series flowmaster with some high flow cats. You also should equalize it with an air induction system if you dont already have one.

Take care, Jason

In my opinion just cats sounds horrible. I've got an off road H with dynomax race magnum bullets and tailpipes. My car sounds mean as hell. I would go that route if you want loud. cats just don't sound right

Run no cats (or gutted ones) and some 40 series Flowmasters or some Borla mufflers. In my opinion the Borla mufflers sound better. But I think no cats would be a better choice.

The backpressure from the mufflers is virtually non-existant. The cats are what holds the backpressure on the 5.0 Stangs. That being said, leave the mufflers on. It'll sound better.

hey 89LXCarb,

do you think that just the Dynomax race magnum bullets with my H-pipe would sound good?
