Long time forum man Ezridn sold out! The other day he bought a 99 Z28 auto. Now there is still hope because at the time he still has his 86GT.
FWIW he took it to the track Stock 99/auto/2.73 gears 60ft 2.05 1/4 13.69 mph 103.3 I will be heading to florida to smoke his new toy soon so that we can all have peace of mind

Reminds me of my friend who had a 1990 LX and then purchased a 2000 Camaro SS. The funny thing is, he has more problems with the Camaro and he daily drives, cruises, races, and winter drives the Mustang. He almost never uses the SS.

big deal, i wonder if he wants to talk to my friend who has a 01 formula, that already burned the rings, after many runs though.
At 185k my motor, and with higway grs im turning those same times, with a lil better 60's though. Just tell him good luck when he has 150k on that thing it will probaly drink a quart of oil every run down the track.

Hope he likes working on cars cause that Camaro is going to keep him busy
That is a great and respectable time though for a stocker. Hope his first kill was a ricer and not a Mustang!

come on now guys, we have to band together with our american made brethren against imports, to a certain extent we have to put aside our Chevy VS Ford Attitude and turn it to a American Vs THe World attitude. I like both chevy and ford. my unbiast opinion is a stock SS will eat a stock mustang cobra, but the mustangs have a bigger aftermarket (hense the 15 pages in summit racing). As for those camaros burning rings or whatever i've never heard that b4, i do know that i know someone who has a 98 GT who already has his 3rd engine(blew other 2). anyways, you shouldn't be calling him a traiter till he rolls around in a civic with a fart pipe on the back.

Congrats on your new mid 13 second Z28. I like those cars personally, and i'd buy one if i had the money, used LT1 Z28's cost about as much as used GT's and usually run a full second or 1/2 second faster stock. I'm a V8 american car guy, i give respect to anything that's fast and has a nice rumble to it, i just happen to like mustangs the most.
I think the only real "ford vs. Chevy" rivalry is when it comes to trucks because i noticed the people most biased against other american vehicles are people who own say a chevy truck and say "ford's suck!", for example.

BTW, what do you run? I have NEVER seen a WRX run any 13's stock, and i go to the track twice a week. There are some there that run the high 13's after some light mods. That is impressive. But they are usually dumping the clutch at a high RPM, while i roll out of idle and still pull 2.01 60 foots. You other guys...thanks for the congrates...its a fun car!!!! I am partial to fords, but could not resist the power a stock LS1 puts out...

Ezridn is one of if not the best driver I have ever rode with.
As for a stock WRX I have NEVER NEVER seen a stock WRX run 13's! Heck many of the modded ones rarely run 13's.

I just wanted to get in on some of the smack talk...it really doesn't matter to me what anyone else drives (as long as it's not a ricer with a fart pipe)!
I am glad you are happy (so far) with your GM purchase. I owned a brand new 90 IROC for two years, what a POS (not that it is representative of YOUR GM car) but the build quality/durability was a joke. My 92 stang is still very sweet at 10yrs old (yes, I know all cars are different...just my experience).
