Default Changing from GT to Cobra on 98.

I found a Cobra Engine with 28,000 miles for my 98. I need some info on dropping in the Engine. Is the wiring pretty much the same as the GT. What complications will I be facing? Is it worth the money and time? Where can i get info on the engine swapping of my 98 GT to 98 Cobra.

You need headers, all the engine electrical, etc. You should be able to bolt up your trans, but be prepared to blow it if its the 5speed.

What do you mean prepare to blow it, if its the 5 speed. My tranny is a 5 speed. Is that going to be a problem?

The trans is the weak link in our cars. I've never seen anyone blow up the 8.8, but if you make big power with the cobra motor, you'll eventually need a TKO, if you hook real good.

So how do i get around that and prevent that from happening? Doesn't the Cobra have the same tranny?
