Default What year C4?

I recently purchased a C4 and I wam wondering how to determine what year model it is?

Is there a casting Number that I can look at?

The numbers above the Shifter are

D4Dp-7006-AA

Also in the circles below are

8 in one of them

10 and 7A in the other.

Any ideas?

Default Year of C4

D4Dp-7006-AA.... It's my guess that this would be an '74 year C4 because of Ford's numbering system... starting with a "D" being the 70's decade model (C=60's, D=70's, E=80's, F=90's) and the "4" being the year in that decade. I hope this helps...
