White Fox GT vs White Fox GT

Well, it's not nearly as cool as I'd like, but here's the jist of it.

I'm rolling over to a friends house when this Thunderbird S/C starts playing with me. I was about to bite when low and behold there is a white Fox Mustang GT in my rear view. He wanted to play, I thought.

We play a little cat and mouse through the traffic till we get an open spot. He was shooting way ahead of me, I was just taking it easy. I caught up and the Super Coupe just jumped ship.

I pull up next to the other GT, noticing he has a couple passengers, give him a look, drop it down into 3rd at 65mph. I am tired of waiting, so I take the jump, shoot ahead a couple cars and it's obvious he's not going. Lame. Then he tries this ricer flyby  Cripes, everybody's a ricer now. I quickly dropped it back down into 3rd as he went by me. He got a good 3-4 cars infront of me before his progess was stopped and I began reeling him in. Once I shifted to 4th I was pulling down on him like nothing. We caught up to traffic and I backed off. He exited the next turn. Oh well. My car was obviously faster by a good margin, but it's hard to really enjoy that when the loser won't line up.

Such a racing drought here.

Man, why do the 5.0s pull so hard in 4th? I swear, half the races here have a line like that. "...but once I hit fourth, I reeled him in..."

That's the beauty of the 5.0. Decent low-end torque and good upper-rpm horsepower.

Unit's actually lucky he was able to reel this guy in. He pulled a ricer fly-by and if the Unit's car were slower he wouldn't have reeled him in. These fly-byes are ruining street racing. Whatever happened to lining up door-to-door at a slow roll? Or better yet, lining up at a dead stop?

Unfortunately, I've done one before, and I'm not proud. :(

My friend in the passenger seat was laughing at this riced-out Lumina, and when the light changed, the kid nailed it. In the rain.

Being that we were both making a left turn, I fell waaaaay back and by the time I caught up to him, he had slowed for traffic and I was going maybe 65 to his 30. :(

Thats all i really get myself, an 86 GT was playing around with me, he acts like he aint gonna race, while he just looks straight ahead, and gets in front of traffic, then he shows me how he can go sideways at 40 mph breaking the tires, so i catch up, and pass him and slow down to line up rolling, he doesnt do nothing? then comes bye at like 70 to my 40 when im not looking?? twice thats happened in one month....both times were mustangs!!

And then the only dead stop action i got, was from a turbo civic, (in my post) which turned out to be a nice looking civic, a body kit, but no big wings, or stickers, and a cool guy.

flybyes are drivers, not cars.

If our cars would have been equal, or I would have only had a slight edge I wouldn't have caught him. I was reeling him in while in 3rd, but once I hit 4th it became brutally apparent my car way outclassed his. I was pulling a good car every 1.5 sec.

Yeah, I'm with Eric on this one. Must be the snow, ice, slush, down trees, sub zero wind chills. Course, I'm getting plenty of action with the Polaris.:)
