Who would like like to race on this mesg. board and why them ?

Argh...This is a tuff one. Two popped into mind at the same time.

If I could roll up to a stop light next to a fellow Mustang Works Member it would have to be....either....UNIT or Lizard King.

Lizard King because he turns in some good times with his 99+ GT and I'd like to pit myself against him to see how I fair.

And Unit because he's cool, and I'd just like to say :p I BEAT YOU:p j/k Unit.

Easy Ezridn! I would like to eat his LS1 for lunch and dinner! Infact it looks like I am going to take my car down (to florida) at the end of the summer to do just that! Show him a little 5.0 taillights :cool:

Lizard King- at a sea level track. Cause Iknow hes a good driver and it would be close with me on street tires to be fair.

Units- 87GT just to see if it is a freak or not since it doesnt have a time slip.

Mercury- cause by reading his post he claims to be a supernatural driver and beats LS1's to 110mph in a basicly stock stang.

Silver Pilate- Cause it would be a good race our times are close @ 3000+ft.

Argh here we go again. I have never even claimed to be a great driver. Re-read my posts, I never claimed I was Great, awesome, or anything above average at all.

I am not a supernatural Driver, I dont have a Supernatural car, I dont shoot webs out of my hands, or wear a cape. I dont wear a tight brightly colored costume when I go driving around.

My "Claims" are the Honest to god truth.

I got a friend that has a Digital Camcorder, I'll see if he wants to ride along on some cruises. I'll catch some footage of me burning up an LS-1.

Maybe its just the drivers around here suck that bad, I dont know.

But Dark 5.0, I'd love to race ya man.:D I'd like to race just about anyone here (WHere ya at RBatson....I'd smoke ya:p )

I think we would be a good race thats why I chose you not cause im calling BS.

Beating an LS1 to 110 mph is impressive...You would have to run a mid 13 to pull that off.

The people on my list I respect and would love to race.

ANYONE! I would race anyone, No one puts up much puts up a challage for my SHO much less my GT. (Granted more people mess with the SHO than the GT.:D )

I see him all the time at Moroso. He's really cool.

And Sedanman again in his flying tin can. :D Although if by luck you do beat me. Then Sedanman i will get that C5 to show you some LS1 tail lights.

I would want to run Lizard King also.

I'd like to give Lizard King a tail spankin (Lizard tail's grow back so there won't be any permenant damage, hehe)

Line em up with Mercury to see how his newer GT fares against my factory freak, and it'd be great to show Dark 5.0 what the freak can really do.

Hey Lizard, I don't have a '01 GT. I only had it for a day before $10-15k of body damage repairs popped up. I brought it back and got my 02 on the way home. Hehe.

For those races I might be forced to bump the timing for the first time? Hehe. My next scheduled race is with the 87 GT facing off against my new 02 GT for a rematch. My 01 GT would have been shredded if it wasn't for my friend missing 2nd trying to powershift the 87 GT adding insult to injury.

I'd have to say Mercury and Lizard King. I've been practicing and I'd love to see how I can launch against the legendary reptile. As for you Merc, I always enjoy your racing stories and it'd be cool to be involved in one. Sure wish I had a bunch of buddies with Mustangs around here.

I would also love to race unit and mercury in both of their "freak" cars in my buddies "freak" LS1 it a 6spd with only a lid, just the other night it went 12.88@113.59 (see how nice it is with proof) and that was on run flats! The hard part would be grabbing all the gears as I am laughing my butt off.

No one wants a piece of the fastest NA auto GT on the board?? WTF? I'm hurt...

BTW, at the moment, I'd love to race Unit (to shut him up ;) ) Lizard King, cause he's a cool guy, and Mustang92, so I could learn how to make the most of what I've got with this mod motor, and get some driving tips.

Damn, trapping 114 with just a lid, that's stock 87 GT territory!

I would like to race anyone on the board cause it has been a long time since i have raced another stang the only guys that seen to want to race is imports alot of the camaro guys around here wont unless you push them hard. I dont care if im out gunned i just would like to have a good time racing another stang and I never mind losing to another stang on the street. all in the name of fun and HORSEpower

I'll race all of you with the stang, then all of your daily drivers with the Olds, then all the bikes with the Ninja! :) :) Then I'll race you on foot from stop sign to stop sign!

:rolleyes: You can't even trap 100! Your G-tech said 103 that final speed not trap! Convert it to trap and its 98-100. Yeah its a real freak GT running 14's!

As for the 113 traps it was a 99 vette 6spd, its a friend of mines it runs like holy hell. Kinda pisses you off when your H/C/I/E gears car gets pulled buy a stock car with a CAI and now Borla cat back!

Yeah, the 103.8 was only with 30k on the tuneup, missing at low rpms, hot after an hour of driving, with stock timing a clogged filter, and extra weight in it. Best case scenerio, 101mph, worst 100mph under those conditions. Jeez, lemme think, will a car that's setup to run go faster than when it's not? If you honestly think cars run the same on chopped up country roads as the do on a racetrack you're just a ricer. When did I bring Vette's into the equation? LOL. Yep, it's a Vette. Not only is it a Vette, but it also now has exhaust. So now we have a Vette (when it would have been implied to be a Fbod) and it has more than the CAI. Can you tell anything like it is?

Why don't you buy a Civic, you're better cut out to be a ricer.

LOL, dang corvette with a cai and exhaust will respond way better than a stang with the same setup, well its technology agains an old 87, i bet you, no 87 vette, even with gears and cai..blah blah, will never beat my car, i have never lost to a c4 vette........ a c5, well of course i couldnt hang, they trap 108 easy, i know of another guy with a c5 that has a z06 exhaust, and minor stuff, he traps 113, but it's a freaking vette!! and a ls1 vette.......for that much money it better trap that.

At the track, saw my friends 85 coupe with a 302 and ported e7's b-cam and 650 carb walk all over a c5, the vette trapped 108, my friend 107, he was on e.t streets and got the better reaction to take the win, wow, an ole stang he paid 5k for, with a/c, walked a 99 c5, i bet that guy was pissed, guess he should have had the catback and cai huh...lol:p

Since I am running a v-6 that is slow, all the LS1's and GT's and 5.0's are off the list. Anyone have a lawnmower and want to race?? I may be able to beat it if you give me a head start!!

First off I'd like to smoke Tireburner's 4 cylinder Mustang with my '88 Ranger (2.9 V6/auto).:D :D

After that I'd like to race a stock/fairly stock '99+ GT and see how that goes. I've never gotten the chance to run one before. I'd chose either Merc or Lizard. :)

Hyper what is your car running now?

Id like to race EXGM cuz HOPEFULLY after I put my motor back together my car will run 110+ on the motor (Fingers Crossed).

no not since the chip! i ran a 13.6 at 103mph 2.2 60ft, at fontana before the chip. i raced a 00 camaro(auto)with headers and intake stuff and he ran a 13.5X at 102mph. so? I'm not sure if i can go to famaso or not! i will try though! as for my car the dealer will give me $8.5K trade in so i want $10k for it. if no takers then I'll pull on the mods off before i trade it in and make up the diff. that way! i ordered a 03 sonic blue cobra but I'm not sure when it will arrive at the dealer?
is your car going to be ready by friday? what other mods are you doing to it?

What nobody wants to race my Inline 6 69mustang. :D come on 6t9pony we could have a battle of the 69s. Along with the rest of 69s on the board oh wait all you guys got them little ole 351s sorry about that. :p just messing with you guys. Anyone should be able to beat me right now anyway since the only way my car can get down the track is if i push it r tow it with my f150.

46stang I think we where at fontana at the same time. I was there in Januaray on both saturdays that they where open. I am pretty sure we where in the staging lanes (if you can call them that) next to each other at one point during the day. I had the ugly yellow and grey old mustang. I remeber a green stang with a bullit intake. We talked for a second. I never realized it was you though. Fontana is a really slow track too i talked to people and they run faster at lacr. I think it is alot of fun though. Even though that is the place that hurt my baby.

My car last year trapped at just over 110mph, in full street trim ie sway bar, 245's BFG KDW all around on a hot day.
As for my times well they suck, 13.3's.
Over the winter I have added a roll cage (for the anticipated blower and road race use)
Adjustable suspension, road race springs and control arms
Fixed some electrical gremlins and finally found my vacuum leak Whoho!!!!
Looking for deep 12's this year, then with an S-Trim deep 11's.

yeah better go pull all your seats and gut your interior ricer! When I run my car at the track I just let the air out of the tires (DR's).

Well take it to the track or find a better street.

Vettes and Z's run about the same, just ask everyone at corvetteforum.com yeah you know alot about cars, hell the camaro's alot of the time dyno more than the C5's!

Exhuast on a vette (catback) is like a cat back on a fox mustang its all sound no real performance improvement.

When it ran those times it only had the CAI the catback was just installed.

:rolleyes: No ricers think a stock (or near stock 5L) can run with a car with a 100 more hp from the factory.

I want to give TireBurner a run with the Escort. I think we may have the same motor, so I will have a weight advantage. Had the spedo pointed straight down (about 100mph) on the way back from Nevada a few weeks ago. The car actually runs well for such a POS.

Skyman, I would like to run your Mustang against my bike. I was riding the 33 about a month ago, and only saw one Fox up your way and it was a beater.

JL1314 I'd race the bikes straight up if you weren't on the other end of the country. Actually, I'd race anyone with a bike if we had a track, on the street it just gets out of hand.

Finally 69fastback, I'll run you with my 240z. It can be the battle of the slow I-6's. That car is all bark and no bite. Never heard anything work that heard at being that slow.

Since I live in the middle of nowhere as far as you guys are concerned, I will have to set up my fantasy race. Here it is..

It would be cool to get all the veterans from this board involved. I don't know how many of us it would be or where in hell this would ever work but a door to door line up of all our cars would be badass..:D Ok, I'm back to reality now..

this is an interesting topic, but i have to say i would love to show unit my tail lights,bring both the stangs it will be fun letting you see how fast a slow 98 can be made;)...lizard king would be fun to test driving skills against with two stock cars

Duece I don't really think you wanna race me in the 240z I was kidding about the inline 6 bit. It is actually a 428CJ r-code. That is why I mad the joke about all the other 69s on here having little 351s.:D Although it doesn't have any rod bareings right now so anywone would smoke me.

69, I was kind of wondering why you said you had an I6 and you sig said CJ. Now I know I could take you (just don't put it back together;) ).
Since you have embarassed me, and are really running a Vmotor, so will I. I have a 1:7 power to weight ratio with my Interceptor, which happens to be a V4. I still think I could take you, unless you got something else up your sleeve.

Hey man, I'd race you! I live semi near you. Haha, but I have to say, I have no track experience and have only opened up on Ricers and a few Z28's with my snake. I'm still hesitating on Camero SS's cause I think they have 325HP and I have 320HP (or something). I need to get better at my launches. I'm not saying I'd take ya, but d@mn, it'd be fun!

I live about an hour from you. I go through the Langhorne area, every now and then so we can definately let our cobras battle it out sometime. What year is your Cobra anyway? Also, I wouldn't fear any of the LS1's. They are very beatable!
