Default unexperienced stang drivers

well, both of you obviously dont know much about afr heads...they are the best and if you know what you are doing, you can get the most from them......that is no b-s...no you could leave the turbo on cause from what you say,you probably wont get under 11.50 in the quarter.... i run that without supercharger or turbo. do you go to the world ford challenge the second week in may... granite city, il...if so ,lets race ..i still want to race where you guys do,i want to say my car can run 9ssssssssss with 125 shot of nitrous...but i have to give credit, you still drive a stang...

that picture is where i race my car... i am legit...are you

Default time silp

ya, you might have a time slip but you probably got it from someone that has strickly a straight line race car....tell you what, lets race in the quarter (you and your turbo) for a grand, then we will race from 0 to 160 on highway....be ready to have your *** handed to you....afterall, i am running 205's on my stock 302 short block and 125 shot nitrous.....AND , it will run all day, everyday, lasting 100,000............peace

mustang driver 2 you obviously don't know jack. Your ideas and claims are rediculous at best.

You've got 205's on a 302 with mods as mild as yours Reeeeeeeeeeeeeal smart.

Yea you've got flow.....but no velocity. You'd probably pick up a good bit of time with a set of 185's. Those heads are way WAY over kill. A friend of mine has a 349 with a roots blower pushing 16 pounds of boost and a 125 shot. It's a low 9 second / high 8 second car and he's only running AFR 205's.

I'll probably run high 12's with my iron headed car (I'll let you know Sat). A member here, FiveOhPatrol, is running 12.03's with a GT-40P iron headed 347. He ran high 12's the same motor, but with the stock 302 short-block

Your combo with a set reasonably sized heads and some slicks should run low low 12's.

Default afr 205

too tireburner, all of you are talking like you know from exp...if so , how would i get those heads to work on stock 302 short block...(best performance) it isn't overkill, it is a perfect set-up. ..you shouldn't run them if you are unexp... also, my mods are perfectly fine. i didn't post all of them... also, unless you can run low 11's ,high 10's , dont dis my ****!!!!!!!!!!!!11 it is a true import eater (even without nitrous)...............

no one dissing your shhit, 205 are overkill on your combo. Period. I bet youd pick up with 185. But what would I know about mustang performance

Yeah, I found someones time ticket, Glad I picked someone with a 12.46 and not a 12.31

Yep, my turbo car is now not streetable. No longer able to drive it everyday. Damn, wish I would have bought NOS

And your timeslip is where????? Oh yeah 12.97, so where is this low 11's shhit coming from??

"....tell you what, lets race in the quarter (you and your turbo) for a grand, then we will race from 0 to 160 on highway....be ready to have your *** handed to you" - Funny, a guy in a Civic said that to me the other day.....

One + note, your car does look nice, but tireburner163 said it the best

Default sure....................

i am not going to sit here and argue about the afr issue. i have the flow and velocity...by the way ,their not stock..they are ported and i had my stock pistons fly cut (while still on the car) cause of the roller rockers... the factory pistons wouldn't last 15 minutes with 125 shot and the 205'sssssssssss the low 11.ss sh** comes from my stang with 125 shot nitrous .....

and don't put me in the same category as that import......i got a grand says you WILL lose ... my 3rd gear pulls like your second....... by the way , i am running stock t-5 that needs 2nd and 3rd gear syncro's... and still beat vipers, vetts, and alot of imports........

you seem to know your ****, let me ask your opinion, i have a 90 5.0 that is mostly stock other than a MAC cai, underdrive pullies, and a short shifter, is a B303 cam a good idea to put on? or what about an Ford Motorsports X cam

What the ****. . . .

I would love for you to answer a few questions for me. . .

Your pistons are not "stock" because you had them fly cut, haha. How does this make them stand up the "extreme" conditions that a 125 shot puts on your engine? You must be in ricer mentality, if so you are right, a 125 on a civic would do some damage. Seems to me that a fly cut stock piston is the same material that a non-cut stock piston is made of. That reminds me, I better go quick and warn my friend that has a stock short block out a 93 ("crappy" cast pistons) that he cant run the 10.3X at 13X.XX mph on those pistons or they will burn up!

On another note, how do ported heads help to improve your velocity problem???

Someone please tell me if I am wrong about these things

blah im sure he just found that picture on some website and is using it as himself.

Everyone who knows anything will know that ported 205's are EXTREME overkill on a stock shortblock 302.

I think this is a current member playing tricks on us cause I refuse to believe that anyone with a stang could be this wrong.

i don't know anything about the late nissan models, so i don't know if it was a 300 or 350z. it had to be a straight sixer though bc i would have heard the turbo valves.

gtjeremy - Your thread got hijacked....LOL.
As far as the Z's, the 300Z and 350Z's had V6's. The former had a DOHC 3.0L available in 222hp N/A and 300hp Turbo froms. The latter has a DOHC 3.5L 287HP and 274 ft#'s.

As far as mustang driver 2:
I agree with Dark's comment of: "I think this is a current member playing tricks on us cause I refuse to believe that anyone with a stang could be this wrong."

Default wooooooooooooooooooo

flo350 = i am not saying that my pistons are not stock since they have been fly cut, all i am saying is that for my 205's to work PROPERLY, i had to fly cut them cause of the big valves and roller rockers...if you were running these heads with 125 shot without doing piston work, the car would probably run as slow as yours and wouldn't last long cause you would burn a hole in the top of the PISTONS.... so dont tell me any bs about my sh**....... another thing, i didn't say ported heads increases or decreases velocity................. all of my mods are fine with the setup i am running.... come and get some.....

to ACKBAR00 = i b303 cam is ok but if i were you , i would put a e303 cam in.. the x cam is alittle to extreme unless you are planning on nitrous or supercharger.....i am running a f303 and it works perfectly....

to dark 5.0 = all i have to say is (bring your green and i'll dust your (MEAN MACHINE)....

Default 302 short block

also, i left my short block stock to show everyone with 306's and 331's that you dont need to bore or stroke it to run with the big dogs..and i just like rubbing it in when i beat them....yes, i have beat every 306 that i have raced...bigger is not necessarily better.the one thing that matters the most are the heads....everything after that is built around them.......... even w/out the bottle, i run 12's and could drive my car from ny to ca.. all you straight line racers, i will be thinking about you at the end of summer when you have to rebuild your sh** and on those 100 degree days when i pass you going 140 mph with the a/c on.......

Wow man, I'm impressed! You're giving up 4 cubes to a 306 and you're still beating them! Sweet!

And 140 mph with the A/C too?!?! That's what I call impressive. You should race in the Silver State Classic with that beast.

Ok, now who's pulling our leg with this thread? Is it you, tireburner? or is it Dark_5.0 again? Come on, the gig is up.
