whooped a 350z

come off an off ramp onto a two way, at the light is a 300Z and a 94 mustang, both take off at the light. I pass the 94 mustang gt and hit the nissan at the light. He revs, I follow. light goes green, i start swerving and can't grip. when I do Iam at least five to seven cars ahead at 70 mph.
94 wants to run me and i just say to cut it bc he knew that i would roast him after seeing that. all in all a good kill.

Dark_5.0 01-31-2004 02:04 PM

What year is your car and what mods do you have.

350Z's are turds. I was dissapointed with there performance.

gtjeremy 01-31-2004 09:16 PM

00 gt, flowmasters, 12" kn ford racing clutch, alum driveshaft, underdrive pulleys, off road h. which z's are fast? i think this one was an older one with a new paint job?

BigCountryGT 01-31-2004 09:58 PM

Dude I raced a 300z (not the new ones) at our local 1/8 track in my GMC. The first race he won. I had Tireburner and one of his side kicks in the extended cab. After I dropped off the extra weight I took the next three. It was killing him because he was running a faster time but I was killing him at the light. I think he ran a 10:5 to my 10:7

There's a huge difference between a twin turbo 300zx and just the straight six. I whooped this kid in high school who just had the six cylinder...but last year i met this guy with the turbos...raced him once and he beat the crap outta me. The new 350zx's are a lot slower than the older twin turbo 300zx's also.

MidNiteBlu 5.0 02-02-2004 01:16 AM

there are a few 350Z's out there running 13.9's stock, but it doesnt seem like there are many of them.

Dark_5.0 02-02-2004 10:10 AM

My brother has an 86' 300zx turbo that can put a pretty good whoopin on my car.

OK, Cut and paste this in your signature.

The new Z are ball lickers, My SHO sends them back to Nissan begging for a Twin Turbo Setup....

91LX2Bfast 02-02-2004 06:37 PM

gtjeremy - what did you race? A 300z or a 350z?

Ackbar00: "The new Z are ball lickers, My SHO sends them back to Nissan begging for a Twin Turbo Setup...."
I don't know about that one. They are a very low 14 sec car with any kind of decent driver, and as MidNiteBlu 5.0 said, there are some people getting 13's out of them. Seems right on par with '99+ GT's. I hardly call that a "ball licker." And c'mon, they are not made to be a muscle car. They actually handle and brake well too. I've driven several 350z's and would say besides some cheapish feeling interior piece's, they are a wonderful sports car.

Ackbar00 02-03-2004 01:04 PM

Bagh!!, They still lick balls!!:D

But you are right, most of them (Import Drivers) in my area cant drive for shhit. Hell, therE was this guy who brought out a Viper with a Kenne-Bell on it and it dynoed like 640. He only went like low 12's @124:rolleyes:

blue00gt 02-03-2004 03:11 PM

I wouldn't say that the new 350Zs are any slower than the previous gen 300ZX twin-turbo, either.

i dont know what kind of track your running on, i had a 92 gt with a lot more mods than yours and my best time was 12.97 with et streets on.. you also got weeker pistons and no suspension work done so there is know way your under 13 flat...........mine had 46,000 original miles ,msd ignition, afr 205 heads, holly systemx upper /lower intake,70mm mass air, cold air kit,f303 cam, roller rockers, double roller timing chain,24lb injectors, bassini shorty headers,h-pipe,2.5 inch full exhaust w/out cats,upper/lower control arms,sub-frame connectors, koni reds shocks/struts,eibach 2 inch lowering springs, pro 5.0 short shifter, king cobra clutch,17x9 cobra r,3.73 gears with strange 28 spline axles......it goes on and on.... so ,no bullsh**.......with 125 shot nitrous, i ran 11.12@126........ look at pictures of my cars in gallery.....this is the blue one, the white one will run 10's .......

Who you talking about?

FordFastGirl5.0 02-04-2004 04:39 PM

You tell'em mustang driver 2! I think he was trying to impress someone!

Dark_5.0 02-04-2004 05:00 PM

350Z's are ball lickers.

Granted I am at 3000ft but I see them run high 14's all the time.

On another note the 99+ GT's are ball lickers too 14.4-14.6 most of the time.

mustang driver 2- Surely you didnt have AFR 205's on a 302

Not to mention your suspension mods were hurting and not helping you. (i.e. two inch drop)

A 12.40 is very believable coming from a car with aluminum heads, gears and slicks.

Let me guess I wont run mid 12's either.

mustang driver 2 02-04-2004 06:14 PM

dark 5.0

dude ,incase you don't know, afr heads are aluminum. and yes ,i am running them on a 46,000 mile 302 ,stock short block.....how, cause i can.....................................my secret.......second, yes the springs hurt me in the quarter cause of the difference in weight transfer... but that is why it will handle like a vette on the highway.....and no, you wont run any kind of 12:00 in any stang with stock 302 short block ,aluminun heads, gears, slicks and exhaust.... also let me know where you guys race that way i can race there and probably run 9'sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss... peace

Ackbar00 02-04-2004 06:25 PM

Once more, who are you talking about:confused:

mustang driver 2 02-04-2004 06:31 PM

Ackbar00 02-04-2004 06:37 PM

Calling my times BS eh? Thats fine, bring your corner carver over and lets see if I am lying;)

Then again, I would have to pull the turbo off at this point just to please your dumb asss.

And like Dark said, AFR 205's on a 302, great idea:rolleyes:

Ackbar00 02-04-2004 06:40 PM
