Will it go 13's?

Mods listed in sig plus 65mmtb, 70mm mass air,190 fuel pump, rear seat delete, a/c delete, lakewood 90/10 and 50/50s, upper and lower control arms, 3 core aluminum radiator, markVIII electric fan, weld draglites with some nittos.... my best time with previous combo(in sig)... what do you guys think??

Dark_5.0 05-02-2002 07:47 AM

If you can knock a tenth or two off of your 60ft youll have a 13 easy.

...I think you can with the Nittos. On street tires i dropped my 60' time by .75 and picked up 2.5 in the 1/4...so I agree with FivepointOH here! Good luck, Later!

Maybe very high 13's (13.90-13.98 or so) on a good day. That's just my guess though. I hope it doesbetter.

You dropped your 1/4 .75 just by going to nittos? Btw the time in the sig is with nittos.....

FivepointOH 05-02-2002 10:40 PM

I'm considering just getting a fuel pump and some spray instead of all those other mods.... it would be way faster i'm just worried cuz i have 105k on the motor and it's a daily driver and i can't afford to blow it up right now.....

My "old time" drag racing guru says "nobody

Why is that rev.... cuz u want the power there all the time??

Skyman 05-03-2002 02:36 AM

Yeah I would say 13's no problem w/ good weather.

The suspension and tires will knock off a good .15 from your 60' which is .3 by the end. Not to mention whatever you will pick up with the other parts.

N20 is fun as hell, till you get stupid and blow your head gaskets :-D

Hahaha... yeah i'm trying to avoid that sky...;), out of curiosity how many miles are on your motor?

Skyman 05-03-2002 02:05 PM

~40k or so on the motor, and the last 25k are all at 6k rpms and beating abused as hard as possible. :)

FivepointOH, I think he meant that the cylinder pressure required to make 400 flywheel HP on a small block Ford stock bottom end (especially with 105,000) is just begging for trouble.

Skyman seems to get by with it though, so who knows for sure. I'm sure it would be fun as heck for at least awhile.
