ASP crank pulley, street? or race?
Has anyone ever ran this on the street? is it one of those small race pulleys that drains the crap outta your battery? im tired of push starting my friends 347 coupe, his pulley is small, not sure wich brand.
but i need a new pulley, mine is missing a bolt, and figure i would replace the whole thing, and maybe pick up some horsepower, advertisement in summitt says 10-15 hp? yea right. lemme know fellas

I got the march kit, but all I used was the crank pulley. Its probably not as radical. It doesnt charge as well as it used to, but its fine. And I have an electric fan.

Thnx sky, the march pulley is kinda radical i believe, im gonna go for it anyways (asp), its like 50 something dollars, but if it drains too much, i'll just throw it on for track use, and pulli it for the street.
off the subject, but sky are you gonna spray your car anytime soon? id like to see what it does on the juice. |

I was at a dyno session and one of my good friends had his 90 LX there. Pretty much stock, except exhaust. He got a chance to switch pullies, 11hp and that was on the street pullies, needless to say I was shocked, I wouldn't get the race pulley if you want to drive it on the street at all with it on. There is a reason while it's called a "race only" pulley.

I know that, thnx for the help though, but i dont recall the asp saying its "race only" but i see what your saying, my friend has a pulley so small it looks funny, he is draining his battery all the time. im gonna go for it, if i can get 10hp and some traction, 13's will be consistent.

I run the ASP "race only" pulleys on the street... its not as bad as everyone says... the only thing is my lights dim a little bit at idle and it doesn't cool as good at idle but I NEVER have had a problem overheating or draining my battery, not ever... the crank pulley is really small though...
