Post "You gotta run it"

I am at my GF house when I get a call from a friend he says I have to head out and race his friends car, I said I am with my GF but we can do it some other time Then two minutes later more of my friends say I have to come out and race this car, the the GF says lets go !!!! So were off I arrive at the race spot and there is a clean 89 LX hatch Auto 3.73 full exhaust, pullies, "other little things". He ask how we are going to start the race I said you go then I will go on your go, so he nails it, then I nail it with me spinning bad shift to second and still spinning now a car or so back finally I hook and begin pulling I pull even by third, and fourth I drive away.

So we line them up going the other way this time from a 1,2,3,go start. This time we are side by side out of the hole with him hooked and me still spinning, then I hook in second (already up a half car) then I shift to third and begin to drive away, I finish 3 or so cars ahead.

We meet up and he says he think the bottle went dry in the middle of the first run, he says he is running a 175hp shot!!! I don't dought that the bottle went dry but he acted like he was not sure, how are you not sure if you are missing 175hp?? He seemed cool but we did not get a chance to talk wanted to split before we got any unwanted attention.

oh, the one bad thing about NOS.
