Default Rx-8

I'm wanting a new car, I'm going to get a 2005 Mustang when they are made avalible. But my little brother is trying to pressure me into a Mazda RX-8, and I was just wondering what your thoughts are on it?

Under powered, no torque what-so-ever, not worth $30k.

If your little brother is buying the car, then go for his choice. If you are buying the car, go with your choice.

I've always like the rx's, the new one's nice. don't know if i would get it instead of the 05 stang....you'll kick yourself for making the wrong choice when it comes out. I'd compare spec's and go from there...bang for the buck.

I'm not desperate for a new car, so I'm waiting to drive an 05 then make my choice. In other words, I'll most likely get a '05 mustang to go with my '65

...sounds like the smart thing to do. i think the rx8 is nice too...i guess waiting and getting to drive both would be the best thing to do.

From what I've been seeing around the net there as been a big stink about the RX-8 not putting out it's rated power. I've seen some other problems with them as well.

I would just wait for the 05's

I dont like the RX-8 at all I rode in one that a friend bought and I wasnt impressed at all with the acceleration. Not to mention its like driving a motorcycle. shifting at 9500 rpms just seems wierd.

I like the RX-8 fine but I think I'd miss the torque.

Totally agree 100% !! I traded in my '88 RX- 7 for my 92 Mustang 5.0. back in oct. of 1992
I thought I was the shyte untill I test drove the brand new 92 Ford Mustang. I got whip lash on the test drive!
After that I found what I was craving.....torque!!!
Never looked back

I think the Rx looks like something off the Saturn line. IMO

It is funny you'd say that, here in Midland, Saturn and Mazda are in the same parking lot......

Isnt the RX-8 kind of a screwy little Mazda sports 4 door with Wankel (rotory) engine?

Default Nisson 350Z?

If you really want a non-domestic? I think the 350 Z is somewhat attractive. Not too sure on performance or price though.

Good advice. You can get a great deal on an 03 Cobra.
