Roush
I heard that Roush was going to quit making Stage 2 Mustangs!! Does anyone know if this is true, because some people say they haven't heard anything about it.
Thanks, ~Ashley~ Roush Chick |

Hey Ashley,
This might sound stupid, but what is a Roush? I mean what's under the hood? Suspension? I just bought a 96 Cobra, so I am new to the Mustang scene. I'm behind on the learning curve. Thx Jeremy

Hey! Well, unfortunately, I have nothing done under the hood of my car.....yet. Mine's just a regular GT Mustang with a Stage 2 package on it. This is what it said on the sticker for it:
BODY Roush Window Banners Front Fascia Rear Valences Rear Wing Roush Emblems Side Skirts Roush Argent Wheels 5 spoke - 18" x 9" - High Performance Tires CHASSIS Roush Suspension System: Front & Rear Roush Valved Shocks Front & Rear Spring - Rear Lower Control Arms Front & Rear Say Bars - Pinion Snubber High- Performance Exhaust System Includes: Hand Crafted Stainless Steel, Side Exit Exhaust Tips POWER TRAIN Cold Air Induction INTERIOR Embroidered Roush Floor Mats Roush Sport Leather Seating System White Face Gauges CNC Billet Roush Pedals Short Throw Shifter I think that about does it. I ordered my car from a Ford dealership and had to send it back off to have the package (all the stuff above) put on it. But basically all it is, is a GT Mustang. Stage 3 Roush's go under the hood, and I believe all that Stage 1 is, is the Roush rims and spoiler. I've seen them at dealerships, and that's all it looked like was done to it. They're usually the V6 Mustangs, although I did see a Stage 2 Mustang that was a V6 before. But that was the only one. I guess you can get whatever you want. Hope that helped a little.....talk to ya later! ~Ashley~ Roush Chick |

Sounds like a real nice ride!
Last week I drove up to an intersection and the Fireman were out there fund raising on the corner. One of them walked up and said "Nice car". I said "Thx". He said "Does this thing haul a**?". I replied "Yes, well it's supercharged". He said "Oh......I have a Roush". I just wanted to know where he was coming from. Next time I will know to ask what stage. I think he was trying to set me up for a race when he first saw the Cobra emblem. My car definately needs some help in the style and suspension departments. Got any pics of your Roush?

Hey! Wouldn't have taken so long to write back, but....... computers!!!! They love giving me a hard time. I just recently switched over to XP, so of course, half my stuff quits working..... So, I'm in the process of getting my scanner back up and running, so I'll try to get some stuff on here. Gotta find the time and the new drivers. I can't believe XP doesn't have more compatibility than it does right now, but oh well! I do this stuff at work all day, so I'll just have to come home and do it now!

And 6 months later I said...
Sry, just looking through the forum. A stage 1 roush is exhaust, a stage 2 is suspension, and a stage 3 is the engine. But don't let them fool you, I've seen stage 1's blow by gt's.
