I've been here for over 3 years, and have spent a lot of time helping others in the tech forums. My count is representitive of the time I've been here, and the help I've tried to give, not a goal or a contest.

Kaspar, I know you mean well. We've spoken on the phone, and I know you're a good guy that has a real interest in Mustangs. I also know you don't just come here to build up your post count, but most of the other people here don't know that, because they don't know you as well as I do, and to some, that's what it looks like you're doing. There's been a lot talk recently about the whole post count "thing", and the fact that some members seem to waste time and space just to increase their count. In fact, it has become such an issue that suggestions have been made to remove the count all together. Some of us find benefits in having the count visible, other than just bragging about who has more than who, and don't want to see it removed. When you start a thread to announce your reaching another 100 posts, it doesn't sit well with a lot of the members, and you are likely to recieve some flack for it.

You can continue to do as you like, but I have a feeling that perhaps you didn't realize that this had become an issue. I enjoy your threads, and am not trying to talk you out of starting threads, or replying to others, I'm just suggesting, as a friend, that you think about them a little bit before you do.

Wow you spend way to much time online congrats!

I don't mean to really make ppl mad, but it's hard to start something that I thought was cool to me. I was hoping to make it every100 posts that I got, because I remember the first 100 that I had, and I wanted to carry that with me. To me, it was something, to remind me that I found a worthwhile site. But since it is making everyone else mad, then I think that it would be best to stop. I also liked to see everyone smart*** comments too.

Chris, I understand you mean well, but I think we all know how annoying this post thread thing has become. Ok, we're all entitled to be annoying :D (I know I can be with my relationship preaching;)) but for the past few "hundred post" threads, several members have been visibly irritated...so this isn't really something you could have missed, Kaspar.

I understand your need for a "trademark" as you have stated before, but you can't just make up one yourself! Wait for it to come to you :) Your pals (online AND offline) will identify an endearing trait of yours, and make a name from it! Just relax and enjoy this site. Nothing wrong with posting 763476 times a day, just make it something that the other members can possibly enjoy :)

I NEVER EVER thought of you as a post ho Joe! You're one of the reasons I still post here :) A familar name that actually cares about this site, and has posted for as long as I can remember (JL1314 ;))

Personally, I don't care if someone posts FIVE times a day in a thread, as long as its cute, funny, helpful whatever. I'd rather see that than 1-2 posts a day that have no punch line or tech info. I wish you would reconsider and post more, I miss your humor!
