2 Fast 2 Furrious. 2 Far Fetched
I broke down and saw the movie. That was way to far fetched for me. The idea that two mitsubishi's can be so far ahead of a Viper, Saleen, C5 Vette, Hemi cuda, and a Yenko Camaro in a race that they have time to screw around and race the other in reverse, while flipping eachother off was just too much for me. And passing cars (In thier mistu's) in reverse on the highway ? I don't know of any cars that can do 70 plus MPH in reverse. If anyone is on the fence of seeing this movie. I suggest to keep your money and spend your time seeing something else.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I already planne on not watching it. Thanks for the reminder as to why I won't.

Make some popcorn, rent "Bullit", and save your cash...
|
it's a movie.................the 67 Mustang jumping the pile up in "Gone in 60 Seconds" was real looking???
|
yeah... and almost everyone (at least around here) said they liked this one as opposed to the first one because it "actually had a plot" ... news flash... the plot was terrible. it wasn't nearly as believable as the first one, and just weak. oh yeah, i wish my car would spit flames out the back for an entire 1/2 mile+ race  :D

Simma down now. It's just a movie. Hell no it wasn't realistic, it wasn't made for car guys, it was made for morons who don't know where the battery. Suck it up, get over it, and move on. It's just a frickin movie. |

I get into the movies for free (cause I work there) and I still don't want to go see it. Bad enough I had to sit threw the preview of it. I was just swearing and cursing on how ricers were a bunch of dumbass's.

I will probably see 2F2F, but will wait to rent it on DVD or watch it on PPV. I have the attitude that I know it is going to be very unrealistic, but hey, that's why I watch movies. I like unrealistic, as it helps me forget day to day things that drag me down. So, I can sit through an hour and a half of total B.S., laugh and feel better.:D
BTW~Cobra was an awesome movie. I, too, loved the scene where he parks the leadsled. And, gotta love that old Merc.:D ;) |
I went to go see it, because I thought it would be good for some laughs. It was hillarious!
The was so much shifting, I think those cars had huffy 15 speeds backin up the engine. Also, I didn't know that when you hit nawzz that you broke warp speed, because all the lights go blurry out side the car. :D |

Aw, c'mon! I'm sure we'd rather talk about something besides "2 Fat 2 Fluffy". If not Cobra then maybe the chase scene in Ronin??? Howabout the televised high speed OJ Simpson chase? lol
|
I've got Ronin...love those chase scenes. Well done. Mmmmmm....Audi's. *drool*
I saw 2F2F. No, it's not realistic. It's somewhat entertaining. I shook my head alot. Probably should have waited to rent it. Oh well...it was only $4 on matenee. --nathan |
I liked this one alot better than the first. I appreciated the fact that they pointed out that the american cars were faster than the mitsubishis.

I went to see it and it is a heck a lot better than the first just because it is more realistic, but still has unrealistic characteristics but yet again, what movie doesn't? I watched it and enjoyed it because of it's entertainment value, am I a ricer? I don't think so, bottom line, just don't say, "I'm not gonna watch the movie cuz it's not realistic." ~Brian

which parts in particular were less realistic from the first one? just curious, because i thought the opposite. obviously they hype up the cars in both movies to add effect, which it does. the point of these movies (i dont think) isnt to see the realism in the ricer community, its just entertainment based on the idea of racing. i found both entertaining but i enjoyed the plot and idea of the first one better. also, i believe they acknowledged american power in the first one too, by saying that the charger had so much power it scared Vin Diesal out of even driving it  but like you all said, the point is that they are made for entertainment, not to prove any sort of realism. hehe who would watch a movie filled with a bunch of home camera shots of ricers racing each other without sound and video effects to get you into it? and plus, it would be alot harder to pick apart if it were more realistic ;) just my two cents :)
