2002 GT Transmission??

Hey Guys,

I just bought an '02 GT and I'm looking to get a short throw shifter. I'm looking at the Steeda Tri-Ax. However, here's my dilemma: What kind of transmission does the '02 GT come with? It's a 5-speed manual but is it a Tremec 3650 ?

The reason why I ask because there are 2 different shifters: a 'non-Tremac' and a Tremac.

I "think" its a Tremec built T-45... not sure though...

I think that they did change from T45's to Tremec 3650's in the GT sometime in the last year or so due to problems with the T45. I would just call your dealership and ask them.

It is a Tremec 3650. But, if you want to verify that, check the code on the door. Should say "K"

Thunderbolt-Motorsports has the shifter for like $170 shipped if you are looking for a place to buy.
