I've read that the 2003 will be based on the 67 and 68 Mustangs with the dash from the 69. I think if they do these cars right they will look sweet. But they could also fudge it up pretty bad too.
If it does look sweet, my wife has already agreed to let me buy one http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif! ------------------ 1995 Mustang GT |
The new "little" T-bird weighs 3700lbs. Not quite so little.
And yes, the 2003 Mustang is supposedly getting a more powerful engine, 4 wheel fully independant suspension al la Thunderbird, Lincoln LS, Jaguar X Type. Known internally as the DEW 98 platform. As far as the engine, let's wait and see this time, guys. I remember reading stuff back in 1992 about the 4.6L SOHC LT-1 killer that was going to make 350hp stock, and a DOHC Cobra with a supercharger known as the King Cobra. If you want to see the engine for the King Cobra, last time I checked it was on display at Dearborn. Project Engine 199 x. We always here about this mega engine that's coming out, and when we see what Ford really saddled us with, we're usually disappointed. |
Why don't they just make the mach 3. But I reminds me too much of a Porche (looks).
I heard 2003-2004 was the time to get a Mustang. I just hope they do it right! |
