$12,400.. just what I paid for it new. Of course I've done oil changes, air filters, and normal maintenance stuff. 71,000 miles and still running the original brakes with many miles to go!

i got blessed with my near-perfect '94 gt in Dec of 99 with only 44K miles on it for only $9500!! and it will be paid off completely in or around Oct.-Nov. of this year!! woohoo. add in another $250 for my flows (my only mod so far) and another $100 to have them installed. with an K&N filter and interior work and a new hood and side scoops planned for this year, that number of total $$$ invested will take a big jump.

There is a classified for a 91 mustang gt with a 351 block, some engine and suspension mods and an 8-point roll cage. Says 425 rwhp in the add and 5k miles, for only $10,000 and that's canadian!!! What do you think about buying a used car all moded up for considerably less than the cost of buying a stock car and moding it up over the years?

I think its a good idea as long as there is nothing wrong with it and its what you want. The thing about doing it yourself is you get what you want and you know what you have. No doubt you can save about have your money by buying one already done. You'd have to make sure there is nothing wrong with it though, that is the hard part. You may get it and start to find there are things wrong you next imagined.

Don't even wan't to add it up (probably well over 20K inclluding 13k for the car new). The spending has been out of control for 11 years. Once you start going fast its never over. A question like this is like asking Robert Downey jr. how much he spends on coke.
