![]() Ok, sorry to mislead a few of you. I was just wondering if anyone has seen or heard about what the new Mustang looks like, or what is going to power it. I've heard a few engine options, but they don't make sense to me, so for now i'm just going to keep them to myself and see if anyone else has heard of them. Any good places to catch a glimpse of it out there in computer land?

![]() I don't have any pictures but I do have information. After attending a day long training session on the new 2002 Explorer (with new independent rear suspension) one of the instructors mentioned the new Mustang and the "commitment" Ford has to independent rear suspensions. The short answer, Mustang will have IRS in the new model.

![]() Egad, they want to show thier commitment to indy rears! Oh well there goes a good thing. I guess one day Harleys will all have 5 valve per cylinder 2 cubic inch motors making like 200 horsepower at 200,000 rpm. Excuse me while I go find a corner to cry in and lament the lose of yet another good car ![]() |

![]() From what I've seen the new Mustang is going to be called the Mustang Bullit will be released around 2003. There is a heavy influence from Steve McQueen's Mustang. I'll post more later, but I know there is a pic in Car and Driver, possibly sometime around the November issue.

![]() The mustang bullitt is allready available for ordering but that wont take over the gt this is only a special edition. the only difference is an exhaust system, racing gas lid cover, bigger brakes, vintage look gauges a shift knob, billett alum. pedals and it dosent even have a spoiler

![]() Demon GT.....what you see under the hood is one BADAZZ motor!! Granted it's a bit dirty there, but I've cleaned her up since then. I'm just to lazy to take another picture of it.
Ok, here's what I've heard so far for the 2003 line up. 1. The base V6 will still be the 3.8, but will get a 10 hp boost. 2. The base GT will be powered by a dual cam 5.0(sick!) and will be putting out about 300hp. 3. The Cobra will be powered by a 4 cammer 5.0 with a T-56 option, sans Cobra R. The out put for the Cobra will be 350, give or take a few. 4. The Cobra R(if it makes production) should be powered by the 5.4, but will get a boost to 400hp, again give or take a few. That's all I've heard, hopefully, I will be getting a few more pieces of the puzzle later. Stay tuned, more to come...... [This message has been edited by bigwhitecobra (edited 02-23-2001).] |

![]() I've heard that the 03 Mustang GT will have the 3.8 V-8 out of the Lincon LS. But I nope not. I guess I'll just go buy a fox body or a 99+ GT. Or maybe I'll just go over to the general's camp. But no I could never to that. Besides the Camaro wil be gone after 03 anyway
