Default 2004 Mustang

I've seen drawings in different drawings in the new Automobile (a good one) and Motortrend (a bad one). Let's make some noise, as Ford listens to its owners. I found a link to all the concpets in one place, hopefully I won't get in trouble for posting it, actual permission pending. I am voting for the blue front and red convert back end shown at this link. It is crucial as I am driving a 93 escort and saving $ for a 2004 cobra on my 25b-day. Let me know what you think.

i sure as hell hope they dont go back in styles.. i mean i love the way the early mustangs look, but think it would be terrible if they started bringing that style back.

If they come out with the blue retro mustang, I will very, very seriously consider trading my 95 for a 2004.

The retro style one is hands down the best redesign that Ford could do. Mine will be paid off by the time they come out, I can say with 100% certainty that if they look like that, there WILL be one in my driveway.

Its hard to pick. All except for the Photo Shopped designs look so good. I like the Bronze, the red Retro, and definetly love the Blue Retro.

I'd have to say the Blue one gets my vote, its a tough call though. It would definetly stand out on the streets. Make it red....

Exclamation Thinking and wondering....

I am considering writing an "Open" letter to Ford and seeing if I can get it published in some auto mag. This would be in a shameless attempt to get our (Mustang owners and enthusiasts) voices heard on the redesign. I spoke with a Ford insider at the LA Auto show, who said that the response to the Concept gt-40, which was only rumored at the time, would determine weither or not it made production. Well, that car is officially going to be built, so I figure if we get on their case, we may get a say in the new car. Please take a look at the pics and vote, leave me feedback, etc. I plan on sending the letter next weekend.
Thanks!

Default Say it isn't so!

The blue one ain't bad, but the front end on that thing (I hate to say something bad about a Mustang but....) IT SSSSUUUUUCCCCKS. If that blue one is what it's gonna look like, then I'm stickin with my 97 for d*** sure. I guess if ya put the front of the bronze one on the blue one that would be SWEET, but I really hope the 2004 Stang doesn't look like any of those concepts.

It looks like the Mustang II all over again.

I think the blue one shares alot more in common style wise, with the 67-68's than the Mustang II's.

I like the retro front, needs some work, its a little clumsy, but its in the right direction. The Bronze and silver ones are both sweet also though. Hard to choose.

When I said "it looks like the Mustang II all over again", I was meaning that this new Mustang might not look as good as other generations. Not that the car looked like the Mustang II. Anyone who knows anything about Mustangs could see that it was designed with the 68 model in mind, but I just don't think that it would look as good in person. Not that it looks good to begin with, but because the car never looks quite as good as the concept drawing.

What I want to know is who created those drawings? I have seen other magazines where they have printed pictures of what THEY think a car will look like, or what they think it should look like. I find it hard to think that Ford would have come up with all of those, and that they would let the public see them yet.

I think the rear of the first orange one with the front of the blue retro one should look good.

The blue one is nice but I hope Ford can desing soemthing better thant that.. But Its cool as hell the blue one

the Yellow one from the front kind of looks like a focus and the bronze one from the back looks like a toyota Celica I hope the future stang dont look like a rice car....

But I like the blue one looks like the late 60's Shelby's

All im hoping is that the 2004 stang looks good and is fast as hell I hope the 2004 Gt reaches 300HP or goes over it
