Question 1991 Shelby Cobra Mustang?

Frind has the opportunity to buy a 1991 Shelby Cobra Mustang for 16,000 bucks. It only has 1,000 original miles on it. I was told that I could sell it for 30,000+ but I think that is a high number. What do you
guys think? Should he get it or is the guy trying to rip him off?

Thanks for any info

I have never heard of a 1991 Shelby Cobra Mustang??? There wasn't even a Cobra produced in 1991. There was a 1993 cobra.

I would ask for documents relating to this "Shelby Cobra."

Let us know what you find out.

No such car. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the last time Carrol Shelby's name was associated with Ford was the late 60's or early 70's. Also, 1993 was the first Cobra produced since 1980. Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I'm fairly close to the actual year. Someone is trying to fool your friend.

Becareful man, I've never heard of a 1991 Shelby Cobra either.

Ask for some kind of documentation and the serial number of the car. Then you can verify its actual heritage.

Ford did not produce such a vehicle.

However, I have an extremely rare '89 Boss 302 that I'd be willing to sell to your friend for 16,000!

Let the buyer beware.

There was no 1991 Shelby Mustang. Shelby last put his name on a Mustang in 1968 I believe.

The closest thing after that was the anniversary edition GT350 in 1983. From 1987-1992 Canadian GTs were badged as Cobra's but were really just renamed American GT's.

Basically, he's bullshitting you something fierce.

I know i have a road and track barried somewhere with that thing in it.

I believe they used the cobra emblems on it.

yes you are correct! i'm not sure of the year it was made, but it was designed to run against the kenny brown 300MX mustang, the "shelby version" was a SAAC MK1 mustang. i don't believe it was mass produced, and only a few were made. it had motor mods, a custom interior, and a custom paint job with blue "shelby" stipes. i got infomation from bookland books in a portfolio they made telling all about 82-93 stangs.

LIZZORD,

Kit car?
Does it actually look like the original Shelby Cobra 427 Roadsters???
Factory Five Racing makes kits that use 5.0 mustangs as donor cars. The kits are very high quality and cost a little less than $11k. If thats what it is then it might be worth $16k
