21st B-day in Vegas?
Well i'll be 21 on the 21st of November, which happens to fall on the last day of my finals of my 1st quarter of school this year (actually thats just a possibility, most likely finals will end on the 20th)
well anyway, my Dad will be out in Las Vegas for a business trip that whole week and he's gonna have his company send my mom with him. And they both brought up the subject of flying me out there after my finals are done, to spend my 21st in Vegas. My dad also said that he would give me some cash as a b-day present to spend in the casino's, and on hooker's(he actually said the hooker part, but was kidding ofcourse, or was he?) sounds awesome right? well when i started thinking about it, it may not be I like spending time with my parents, I just dont think that I could really relax and be myself at a bar, or out partying with my parents. And I really dont wanna go out on the town by myself, how fun would that be? BUT if I stay in Terre Haute (school) or in Indy(home), then there really won't be many of my friends to go out with either. Most of my friends wont be 21 yet, and the ones who are work full time, so they probably wont wanna go out on a thursday night. My brother is out of the picture too because he leaves for bootcamp a month beforehand. Do you think they'll let him out for a night? yah right so there would probably end up being like, me and 2-3 friends(if any) So if you were in my position, what would you do?

Personally I wouldn't go if it was just my parents and myself. Especially after recalling, or trying to recall how my 21st birthday went. My parents don't party at all though and it would seem like I was taking them out instead of them taking me out. 21 should be a very special birthday with friends who will take care of you.

Vegas, blah. Been there done that, lost the t-shirt playing craps.
If its a weekend, and your parents are going to put you up in a seperate room, go. Let them take you out to dinner, and spend about 2 hours gambling with them. Then, meet up with a bunch of US, and get sh*t faced and pass out in the hotel room. If its free, we can get a bunch of SoCal people to caravan out. Now that'd be a party.

I agree with 7up; don't go with his parents.
I also agree with Deuce. That's far enough in the future that we should be able to get a bunch of us to go. I better warn you, though, you'll never be the same. Take care, ~Chris

I would go to Vegas, you can go to local bars any time you want Vegas you couldn't. I went to Vegas and it was a blast. I was there with my lady and still had the time of my life. I am positive that if you walk down the streets by yourself at night time you will find something to do trust me.
Almost forgot... see Blueman group at the Luxur they rock.

I did when I turned 21
Except I went with all my friends. If you go with your parents, don't expect it to be an all out party. When I went I got as many people together as possible, and caravaned over there. It was one of the best times I've ever had! If my parents were there, I doubt I would have had half the fun. If you're coming from Indianapolis, then I say go for it. Check it out, hang out at, or near some of the clubs there and meet some people. Just try to distance your self from your parents as much as possible. There are so many free things to do there, and so many things (and people) to look at, that I'm sure you'll forget your parents are even there (except when you're broke). I'll be there Oct. 25-27th, my 22nd b-day is Oct 26 Either way, let us know what you deceide, Keith

That would be absolutely awesome if you guys would caravan out there that weekend!
I went ahead and told them that I wanna go, and we'll be staying till sunday, so we'll have about 3-4days there. I have a feeling that I'll be spending some time in bars with my dad, he's pretty fun to hang around when he's a little blitzed but anything more than that, I'll have to ditch the 'rents. so who would all be up for goin?

Go with them man are you nuts!!! I have gone with my mother and the inlaws . They want you to go so that you can have a good time both with and without them. Pops wants to hang out with his " new 21 yr. old" for a while and then I'm sure ya can go play on your own till the cows come home , if they ever do lol. Your "a man now (21) he just wants to share a moment in time with you so give it to him whats it gonna hurt? I'm somewhat sure he dosent expect you to stay by his side the entire time . He may have a plan to ditch you and mom for a few hours anyway wait till ya hear him say,"oops I got lost looking for the mens room" then laugh your .ss off. BTW heres a pic of where your going to stay... I was in april.

I thought I was going to get to see some induction in one of those pictures. How dissapointing.
So you're saying we can't just crash in your room? WTF man, we're supplying the party. We'll see how many crazy people we can get to caravan out. It's always more interesting to go with someone who hasn't been there a thousand times.

had to revive this post as the date is coming up fairly soon.
new plans: these a-holes scheduled a final on my b-day, so i'm not flying out until the next morning (friday 8am) thats NOT going to be fun. I'll probably end up goin out with some friends on thursday, and having a REALLY hard time trying to get up and make it to the airport early enough. I guess I could just stay up all night, and just sleep on the plane. so who's goin?
