25th & 35th Anniversary Edition Stangs
My brother has a 90 GT 25th anniversary edition which is bone stock down to the air silencer and distributor cover. The emblem on his dash says 25th anniversary edition to verify it. Now my question is if his 90 GT is the 25th anniversary edition why in the world are the 99's the 35th anniv. and not my 00' GT. Please explain.

My 90 has the emblem too. They started it in 89 (1964 + 25 years) which the Stangs came out in 64 1/2 so maybe they just decided to put it on both years since the car inititially came out mid way between the two years.
By the way, the cars are not considered a special Anniversary "Edition". It's simply a badge to signify the anniversary of the Stangs and nothing more. ------------------ Gunning for 12's! Buy your parts here ICQ# 42269241 [This message has been edited by 2FastLX (edited 08-02-2001).] |

The 25th anniversary only ran a little more than half way through the model year. I think the last ones rolled off the line in March of 1990 while the model year continued through August. Mine was born on 3/3/90 and bears the dash plaque. 'Course, that's about all's that is stock with it anymore, but its a 25th car nonetheless.
