6 Month Ticket Survey!!

I was talking with a few people and I thought about making this poll, I'm interested in its outcome.

PKRWUD 07-16-2002 03:25 PM

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't have anything up my *** (and won't), but I haven't gotten a traffic ticket in 4 or 5 years. I got my fair share 20 years ago. By 1985, I had enough to wallpaper a small bathroom.

Take care,
-Chris

Ditto on things up my *** too. lol I got a ticket for Careless driving December 5th, but it was reduced to Failure to pull over safely and that was issued like last week. But it was just reduced down from the old one. So other then that I've been just lucky. Although I only started driving my Mustang lately and not even that much I still manage to drive fast with anything I'm driving. I'm still new to driving (only been driving for 2 years come October and only by myself for 13 months.) The fastest I've driven at was 195km/h. And I just took the t-bird up there and shut it down. I've been in that car upto 240km/h and I know I don't want to be driving at that speed. Either way .... I'm glad I havn't got caught and hope to keep it that way.

7up 07-16-2002 03:42 PM

Oops I just voted for having one ticket, but mine was careless driving not speeding. I got to see my lawyer today about getting it reduced.:D

Coupe Devil 07-16-2002 04:20 PM

IM an exit only kinda guy and dont have anything fast enough to get a ticket in...

Brad

digital3.3 07-16-2002 04:34 PM

I've had 4 warnings in the past year, but no tickets! 3 of the warnings were for speeding, and one was for exhibition of acceleration and speeding. I got that one like 3 days after I had my fastback on the road...:D:D If the cop would have given me a ticket he said he could have impounded my car and thrown me in jail...

LMAO!!

Of course the "Horse shoe up your a**" term is figurative, you really wouldn't be that lucky if you actually had a horse shoe in your a** :)

AdamM 07-16-2002 06:03 PM

None so far, (probably just screwed myself) in fact, I've never gotten one in the mustang. Just a couple of warnings.

induction 07-16-2002 06:08 PM

Keeping fingers crossed , I havent had a ticket since 1983. And that one was HUGE!

blue00gt 07-16-2002 06:39 PM

I went 3 years with no tickets and then got 2 in 2 months this summer! Back in the day I had 7 6 month suspensions in 7 years of driving! I get alot more leniency in the new GT than in my Pace Car - guess it's time to paint that bad boy.

gt lee 07-16-2002 07:08 PM

Nothing up my a** either, thank you.....Never had a ticket in my life and thats a long one. No really, don't ask me how but I have been driving for 39 years and haven't had a one. Knock-Knock-on wood. Odie:cool:

induction 07-16-2002 07:28 PM

Check this site out http://www.speedtrap.org/speedtraps/stetlist.htm

StangFlyer 07-16-2002 08:28 PM

I don't think I've gotten a ticket (that's stuck any ways) since 1996 or 1997 at least. I did get three tickets at the Woodward Cruise about three years ago now, but I took them all to court and they were all thrown out. Some total jerk Michigan State Trooper thought he'd stick it too me and tried to seriously hassle me even though I hadn't done a thing. I wasn't even speeding. It was obvious and the judge tossed them all out.

joe4speed 07-16-2002 08:35 PM

None!!
I last got a ticket in '95 and fought it and won.
I got the majority of my tickets from 16-18

mustanggt350 07-16-2002 08:54 PM

Well I was quit proud of myself for my driving record. No tickets!!! I have been pulled over many times, and womanized my way out of them so to speak. :D Then coming home from the 4th of July, Dumba** me decided to speed all the way home. I got my first ticket, the cop was as cold as ice and there was nothing I could do to talk him out of it. He saw I was from Seattle, driving a Mustang, wearing my seatbelt wrong (under my arm because the darn fox body seatbelt cut into my neck), in eastern Washington and must have thought I needed a lesson. A $76 dollar lesson. Thank you, Thank you very much, Big mean cop!!! :(

Shelby

The Deuce 07-17-2002 12:27 AM

You're complaining about a 76 dollar ticket?! I knew the judge and it cost me $80! Of course, I was 16, doing 79 in a 45 (slowing down) in a 944.

That is the only ticket I've ever gotten, altough I've been pulled over at least 4 other times. The best one was for walking a motorcycle I had. Got to love college towns.

Cop: "Did you steal that motorcycle son?"

Me: "Um yeah, that's why I have the key and knew the registration was under the seat. Lucky thing too, the guy I ripped off has my same name and address."

I have ditched 3 cops that were coming for me, so my stats could have been a lot different. Nothing from the 5 o'clock news, just tactical uses of off ramps and parking structures.;)

MidNiteBlu 5.0 07-17-2002 12:44 AM

I got my first one for 41 in a 25. Cops were hiding on a side street and i wasnt paying attention. Took traffic school and payed it so its not on my record :)

Later
Nick

cyberstang5.0 07-17-2002 07:54 AM

I haven't gotten one in the past 6 months, but I have had my share of them  I just learned how NOT to get caught ;)

Mustangbelle306 07-17-2002 08:54 AM

Never gotten a speeding ticket, and God willing I never will...I hardly speed, but I may encounter some jerk cop someday :(

Well , It was a speeding ticket in the city of DiamondBar I was doing 91 mph. in 40 zone (near the In-N-Out) A very stupid move on my part. The "original ticket was around $ 450.00 I went to court and made a payment schedule but didn't stick to it, then I attended only one of the two days of traffic school (big mistake) an figered I would just make it up when I had the time. Well as it turned out the Sheriff's department didn't agree. In the end being stupid cost me $1,685.00 an almost lost my license.

That sucks Dan but glad you had them tossed out. Some cops are just out to get you. My g/f's dad is a cop and he's been telling me how they catch people and some of them piss me off. They sit in the passing lane in undercover cars and wait tell you pass them then they nab you. But he says he usually only pulls people doing 30km/h over and up. Either way that just causes road rage. I hate when people do that. I usually cut infront of them drop me speed right now tell they move over then take off. Stupid *** people.

Either way check out this pic, tell me who has a cooler car. The cop or the person he is giving a ticket too. :D :D :D

That's easy! Screw the Firebird, I'll take a '69 GTO Judge any day of the week.

As far as cars that originally sold for under $4k go, that one will always be my number one choice.

clean record, 6 yrs an countin suckas..:D

Sh** now i've jinxed myself:eek:

rbatson 07-18-2002 12:36 AM

No ticket since 1987, I had that one reduced(no points):).

Topless In Texas 07-18-2002 01:49 AM

OKAY...HERE GOES....... :D

Well, needless to say my record is ANYTHING but PERFECT! ALTHOUGH....I HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY THIS YEAR! (I now have a radar detector. THANKS FORCE!!!!!!!!)
I've taken Defensive Driving about 6 times in my 18 year driving career, I TRULY believe I could teach it if I wanted to! (yes, thanks to my big brother being a total f..up, I didn't get my license till I was 19, and had been on my own for a year!)
I served Differed Ajudication one time...having to stay clean driving for 3 months and that one would not be on my record. Served Only 1 night in jail for another driving indescretion(about 12 years ago...) hence, my willingness to give up my keys if i've been drinking....DUMB!
My last trip to Defensive Driving I went to a comedy club. This was early last year I think....THAT IS THE WAY TO TAKE IT..we had a great time! (no, they did not serve drinks while we were there!) I wore my NHRA Speedlimit 350 MPH tank top to the class. Took it w/ my best friends husband. The guy picked on me relentlessly!!!!! We went to lunch, I broke about 5 laws during the lunch break..(unintentionally) and by the end of the day, we popped the hood on Topless and everyone was admiring her! LOL!
BUT.....I AM ALOT MORE CAREFUL NOW! I dont need to get written up for no front license plate(got the "My Classic Car" plate I got from being on the show, No Cats and I"m not sure about my taillights...(no Clear Back up lights....) :D
I am for the most part now a law biding citizen...and my daughter is trained, and VERY WELL I might add to tell me when she spots a cop! :) I guess with age comes a little discretion!
so...........my record is CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!:D TNT

I plead the Fifth.

polara7777 07-21-2002 09:04 AM

So far 4 tickets ( said 3 but I just remembered one.) Doing 55 in a 35 and no insurance. Got insurance so that one was reduced. Then a couple months ago on the way home from work I got nailed for 95 in a 70 and expired license (was just after my b-day)

84LX89GT 07-24-2002 11:42 PM

I've been lucky. Been pulled over 4 times for either complaints of tire noise :D or excessive displays (showing off w/friend in the car) and since the cops never saw me peel out or get me on radar i got lucky. One of the cops was actually laughing because as he was trying to catch up at 50mph in a 35mph (empty 4 lane road), he said i was pulling away quickly. I guess i was lucky i pulled over to go get pizza.
I think i have a few horseshoes up my @ss this year!

mustangman65_79 07-26-2002 07:37 AM

1 ticket in 4 years, and that was last year. But I wasn't really speeding, I was going 55 in a 50, crusie control set. But the cop said he was following me going 70, lying sack of ..., he was never behiend me till he pulled me over.

Umm, how were you NOT really speeding? Any thing over 50 is considering speeding.... it's either you are or your not.

Cops give a slack of 5mph due to speedometer diff. In true I was speeding, but almost no cop will pull anyone over for 5mph higher then the speed. Besides, who really goes the exact speed the roads are set at?

Actually, there is a police department here that is natorious for giving ppl tickets for going over 2 mph over the speed limit AND they make it stick. They don't play around. If anybody in the Houston area is in Katy, watch out. Katy cops are mean!

mustangman65_79 07-26-2002 08:32 AM

Thats preatty stupid. I bet if the town started a petition against the police, I bet they'd change it back up to 5mph diff. The mass of ppl, can change anything.

Not all the time. There is a large group of ppl that want to make weed leagal..... and is it? Didn't think so :D

Basically, rules are rules and there are consequences for breaking them. We were suppose to learn that back in elementary school, but some of us didn't. ;)

Mustangbelle306 07-26-2002 01:17 PM

OMG....You can't just PETITION a freekin LAW

Yeah, it sucks. Yes, its unreasonable. Yes, I'm sure those pigs speed to work everyday. That's life. Its obviously a greedy township that likes to nail the public. Even places with high speeding rates that I know of, have NEVER given a ticket for 2 mph. Its gay...but it IS the law. Get used to it, or turn in yer keys :D

Well put!! :D I have never touched illegal drugs and I am definately not a hooker (even though I could probably make a killing). I am not going to stand in someone elses way if that is what they want to do. You are going to die someday, you might as well die happy!!

It was meant to be a joke. If you have the urge to pay for sex and for substances to alter your state of mind, I could really care less. And...last time I checked, it wasn't sex that was illegal. Either way, if a woman wants to cash out on her twat, its not my problem. Next time I'll be more careful to use the appropiate smilies ;)

929PhoenixSquid 07-27-2002 09:59 AM

What the hell does sex and drugs have to do with speeding tickets?

Anyway, back to the "ticket" issue. I'm staying away from those because if I "collect" one more, I lose my motorcycle insurace......can't have none of that goin on.:)
