Thumbs up $70 dollar supercharger, adds 30-HP

my dad saw an add for this so-called "Supercharger" in the Mustang and Ford Trader, the national magazine. Well anyways they claim that it adds 30 horsepower, and increases mpg by 31%. It's called Spiral Max, here's the website. www.spiralmax.com what do you guys think? anyone know any body who has this on their car? if so what do they think? Is it worth the money? I was thinking about investing in it since it's not all that expensive and it's an easy installation. And no moving parts.

If I knew anyone who had one on their car I'd laugh at them until I lost complete control of both bowels and bladder, and
then slap them.

This whole time I could have had a SpiralMax 'supercharger' instead of my Novi 1000? I guess it's my loss

There was another product called the "Tornado" that was very similar to this. Read the thread about that one.

Wow! 30 hp for $70! Hell yeah! Now I don't have to shell out $4000 for that turbo for my v-6 that I wanted so that I could've made 100 easily.

Daniel.

I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as a stupid question. I also believe that a person who is even considering buying that product should NOT BE ALLOWED TO WORK ON ANY VECHICLE for the safety sake. I am not trying to start an argument, but I just am so angry at these companies selling items by using false advertisements and completely false claims.

Now come on. I have raced many a Civic and found that they ran much better with a product like this. Hell, along with the turbo simulator, they are within 2.5 seconds of the SHO.

As u can see from everyone else's laughing, no, don't buy it. It is the same thing as the tornado, a stupid little metal thing with curved blades on it. I could see how maybe it would work on the carbed engines, but there is now way it would work for EFI.
