Question air pump needs to go

On a 91 LX, I'm in the process of putting on an off road H pipe and flowmaster exhaust, What do I have to do to get rid of the air pump and as much of the emisson control as possible, The car has a/c, is their a belt available to delete the air pump.

you can get a shorter belt to bypass it.. but if you take all that stuff off... you'll regret it if you ever have to put it back on... just because you dont need it now doesnt mean you wont in a year or two ;-)

i have a 95gt and the air pump is making a lot of noise so i am going to get the air pump delete bracket, but i would say that if its not making noise just to leave it.

I'd say leave it if you aren't having any problems with it.

However, if you really want to pull the whole thing off, you can pull the air pump and all that tubing attached to it, plug all the vaccum lines that were leading to it's various portions, remove the metal tubing accross the back of the heads and plug the holes with inserts, and plug the tube that comes off the x or h pipe and leads to the smog pump system. You'll need a short belt to match the pulleys you have left, mine was 76 1/2" I think. The tensioner will have to pulled way the hell up so it doesn't interfere with the water pump pulley. I think that's everything....
oh yeah, pray you don't ever have to put it back on.
