All time Favorite song?
No matter who the artist, what type of music, or anything. What's your ONE and only most favorite song. The one you crank up in the car no matter what. Mine is a reletivly new song. "i'm moving On" by Rascal Flatts. It was "Dust in the wind" but not anymore. I think they both reflect alot about who I am. You all know there is one song out there that fits you to a tee. What is it?
Brad |
Wild West Hero, Electric Light Orchestra.
They never play it, though. One, Metallica. Take care, -Chris |
This could take forever to decide
No one favorite song but I can't keep from cranking the the opening rif for "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straites or "I love Rock&Roll" by Joan Jett. (Now I am stuck for the next couple of days going throgh cd's.)
"Five to One" the Doors |
music
I agree with JM90GT Dire straights - money for nothing is awesome also Spineshank - Synthetic is awesome too if you like godsmack youll love spineshank (if your like me anyway)
|
Hard question,
Any old Metallica (pre-Load basically) Any System of a Down song. Psycho by Disturbed is great to listen too to get your adrenaline going before playing lacrosse :) |
|
#1 Stunna by the Big Tymers......it's my theme song.:D
|
Well, I used to be much more into classic rock than I am now, and I always swore that NO new music could possibly touch me as much as the "eternal hits", but Incubus' "Pardon Me" for some reason really gets to me, and thanks to 2 of my fellow MWers I've really gotten attached to the group Glassjaw. I also like Rammstein, Machinehead, and Eastcide.
|
Lowdown by Boz Scaggs used to describe me, in a way, and I still love that song.
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. Played to death on the radio but still a great song that I always crank up when it comes on. She's Leaving Home by the Beatles is one of my Beatle favorites (from the Sgt. Pepper album). A later favorite is Walkin' in Memphis by Marc Cohn. Just a great combination of country and blues. I never hear it enough. |
I don't have an all time favorite song, but TOOL is the greatest band of all time!:)
|
That's impossable for me. How bout I list my 100 favorite songs:D. I love a lot of stuff from Metalica, AC/DC, 80's metal, 70's, 60's, and the list goes on and on. I guess I'm weird in that I listen to almost everything, rock, metal, country, rap, jazz(I know some stuff from the 30's/40's you guys have never even hear of). About the only thing I don't listen to is R&B, Mowtown, and reggia.
But if I was in a pinch, Paridise City, by Guns n' Roses. |
You will probably think I am wierd but my all time favorite song is Ritual Fire Dance by Mana deFalla. Its a spainish classical piece and its relaxing. I prefer ambient trance type music when I am driving or reading and doing work.
|
I dont have a All Time Favorite song, but I do have Favorite songs to fit my moods.
My favorite song to listen to while I'm drawing or painting is Danse Macabre (Dance of Death) composed by Saint Saens. Its classical. Dont laugh at this one, but on race nights, I listen to "Jump" from House of Pain. Favorite Love song is What becomes of the Broken Hearted. An oldie song. And for the basic any mood thing, its gotta be House of the Rising Sun. The animals version. I also Love to listenTacotta and Fugue in D minor...composed by Bach. when drawing or writting. |
Yeah, sorry dude, but it's impossible to have only ONE favorite song.
Some of the many of mine include, One, Leper Messiah, Orion, by Metallica; Hollow, This Love, Planet Caravan ( a cover song) by Pantera; and Burial, Innbedylse by Extol, and many others in MANY diff genres. |
Cool Im not the only one that listens to classical YAY:D
I also listen to rap, alternative too I like 311 Incubus, The Urge, Basement Jaxx, etc |
I cannot say I have but one fav song. I love all to many of them.
The new group I like right now is NickelBack, go check them out. |
I'm not really a Rock kinda guy. I'm only 17 so I'm more into hip-hop and dance. :D I like alot of Jay-Z (You Don't Know & Hola Hovito). But I love Mr. Oizo - Flat Beat and Sick Dog Trying to Speak. I doubt anyone has heard of Oizo but if ya've seen the video is amazing. lol
I like music with bass, but I also enjoy music that makes you think of life. |
srv1-
Nice Avatar. Classical is cool. i really enjoy Baroque style classical. I can listen to Vivaldi and Mozart all day. As far as Hip Hop, Rap and Country, my brain is incapable of recognizing any of them as "music". My loss, I guess. Take care, -Chris |

I posted this and got to thinking after I seen everyones replies. There no way I can pick just one song. I have over 500 songs on my computer for a reason. Everything from classical to gangsta rap. I am like the al knowing in the music scene among all my friends. Always up on the new stuff, most of it anyway.
I like, Metallica, Stained, LImp, Dmx, Rage, Garth Brooks, Shakira(cause she is HOTT hot),Naturally Britney and Christina but did you guys know they sing, P.O.D., Lonestar, Buckcherry, Extreme (thanks to PKURWUD), and pretty well everything else in between. |

mike |
You actually like fred Durst? i can't stand him. he says he is all a rock star and then he basically raps with semi good guitar playing in the background. Break Stuff is thier only good song just because it gets your adrenaline going. same way with kid Rock but enough of that. heres three bands that kicka** Static-X, Slaves on Dope, Union Underground.
|
whatever happend to the good loe' country boys? Evryone seems to be hooked on heavy metal or that rap stuff---oh well to each their own i guess:rolleyes:
|
MidNiteBlu 5.0
I guess i should of put that he is in the song for about two seconds. To me, he kinda makes the song not as good as it can be even though its my favorite. All he does is say i can feel the lighters and the MF'in deal

I like Limp Bizkit, especially there old stuff, but what the hell is this new Hip hop, rap remix crap? Like everywhere I go people tell me I look just like him. It's kinda cool, gets ALOT of females too.
|
FREEBIRD--Lynard Skynard
Family Tradition--Hank Williams Jr. Santaria--Sublime Seek and Destroy--Metallica |
Man there just isnt alot of people that included many country songs. Bri32z is pretty smart though for going for Hank Jr. I totally agree man. Granted I am listening to Nelly #1 as I type this but the next song on the playlist is Nitty gritty Dirt Band. I listen to all kinds of music but it seems that everyone else listens to metal and rap. Cool.
