My next project
I'll be on my way to Tennessee next weekend to pick up my Notch. I can't wait. It needs a ton of work and still has to be converted to 5.0, but I'll be using the parts from my LX. Here's some pics...

Hey man you want some RED seats for that thing. I have the fronts that have POWER LUMBAR. The back seats are for a hatch car but they are for sale. I am in KY so you might be a ble to stop by and pick them up.

Actually, the red interior will be the first thing to go. I have a junk yard near me that'll let me get a whole black or gray interior for maybe $50 since I'm such a frequent customer
After that I'll be picking up a 351 and a Ford 9" to drop into it.

it's not a big deal to me at all, but i figured if he was gonna throw them away then i would take them (he also works less than 5 minutes from my apartment)
i'm probably gonna swap over to either black or grey interior eventually too, so i'm not gonna bother anyone about shipping or anything like that just for another red back seat, i appreciate the offer though

Kev- Sounds like you have a plan for that car, I almost did the same thing last year but decieded I really like my GT. The Black interior will look very nice in it, and $50 is a STEAL!
Keep us posted on how the project comes along? Will it be ready by spring?

Looks like a nice car to start with! Heres my $450 winter project. This thing was a POS!! Thats cheap for that interior! I'd like to find door panels and a headliner, either black or grey.

I doubt it will be done by for awhile Rick. I'm thinking it's going to go in the back yard on blocks and a tarp until Spring. I still have a few more things I need to get done to LX before I put it up for the Winter so that will keep me busy.
Not having a garage really, really, really sucks!!! Plans for the car are to turn it into my daily driver eventually, and turn my hatch into my weekend toy. That may take me up to the end of next Summer to become a reality, but I'd like to get the Notch on the road by late Spring. Andy - it may be a POS for a car, but it looks like a Mustang makes for a kick@ss bar!!! |

LMAO Yeah I agree Chris a keg would be alot cheaper, but I have issues with draft beer. (usually the next day) ....lol...
Yeah Rick this car is real solid! Cosmetically though it was terrible! I might post a pic or 2 tonight with the roof skin off and the dash out. Its alot of work, but its gonna be fun trying to make it to Bradenton! andy

To wash the car I have to remove one of the basement windows just to hook the hose up. And until recently, I had to wash it on ground which was just dirt and rocks, but they finally got it paved a couple weeks ago just in time for it to be freezing outside. When I work on the car up here at school I usually go to my girlfriend's parents house, because her dad has a lot more tools and space to work on things. But even their garage has a tractor and a 4-wheeler in it, so theres no room for my car. First house I get after I graduate is going to have at least a 2-car garage! Nice project car BTW. I'm hoping to get another fox body GT when I graduate to work on and turn into a beast. Can never have too many Mustangs

I want to build a garage, but the way our property is setup the only real place to put one is under our house since we live on a hill.
When I installed all of my engine mods I had the engine torn down to the short block and had to work in between the rain showers we were getting at the time. It can be a pain. This project I think will go to my Dad's house and I will work on it in the garage.

Man! i can't wait until i have a garage! That has got to be so awesome to have a place to be able to work on your projects like that. I have a car port which kind of leaves me limited to what i can put outside. Any way.
I have an LX 5.0 right now but if i were to get another car it would be a notch-back, or a later model 5.0( not 4.6 ). But the notch-back would be 1st choice. Are you going to paint it a different color? Good luck and have fun with your new toy!

Yeah, I'm going to repaint it. I'm not sure what color I will paint it yet, but it will be different I do know that.
