Post What parts have you broken?

My adjuster on my clutch cable broke a couple weeks ago leaving me stranded. This is the first time in 3 years of ownership of a 5.0L Mustang that I haven't been able to drive it because it has failed. What have you had break on your Stangs? Do more things seem to give out once you added lots more power? Share anything.

Ok here I go.

blew up a "world class" t-5.

poked a hole in my hood with a fogger nozel plumed in my throtal body from stomping on it in reverse.

Melted a CF-DF clutch and flywheel on a launch with a 6k dump and slicks.

Cracked the #8 piston with a heavy hit of N2O.

trashed a cam lobe and lifter so bad the valve was opening half way.

Blew up the stock traction lock.

Belt tensioner broke loose causing it to hit the alternator, alternator fan exploded and trashed my battery and dented the front fender.(old car- 83 mustang)

And the most recent one is a cracked K-member from hard launching at the track.

I striped out the driver's side CV joint

I also wore out two brand new front tires in 4 months. Not that that was my fault my car just has too much power

Broke the front U-joint but still made it home.

Went through 1 stock clutch and 2 HD clutches.

Headlight switch broke leaving the track one night. (Does that count).

About 5 t-5's
1 u-joint
1 clutch cable
I still made it home in trafic by shifting without a clutch. Lucky I did not have to make a complete stop or I would not have made it.
1 oil pump
And 1 302

Cool

Well an interesting part I broke...on my 89 Mercedes 190E 2.6...came outta publix lot mile and half from apartment, stomped gas felt it rev for half a sec...then all it would do was idle regardless of gas petal position...pulled over got AAA tow me home pulled off air filter box and saw half of a plastic something or other and a throttle cable dangling. A ride to benz dealer, and 1.50 later the plastic throttle cable and linkage clip thingy was on and gas peddle worked again! WooHoo
Broke sme guy's bumper when my 86 Cougar decided to hydroplane through a red light without informing me ahead of time.

Cool

THE WORST BREAK I EVER HAD WAS THE THROTTLE CABLE ON MY 86 HONDA INTERCEPTOR. I WENT FROM 25MPH TO 90 MPH IN ABOUT 3 SECONDS WHILE GETTING ONTO I-8 IN SAN DIEGO. I CUT THE ENGINE TO GET STOPPED. LUCKILY 90 IS NORMAL ON I-8 SO I DIDN'T GIVE SOMEONE A HONDA SUPPOSITORY.
