Post Anyone using methanol to bypass emissions

Was wondering if I could just bolt on a methanol carb and fuel pump and go pass emissions test. I'm going down there friday and ask. Mileage is suppose to be half that of gasoline. What does methanol cost per gallon? Illinois doesn't inspect anything as long as you pass the test. They put the car on rollers and run it up to about 40mph with something in the tailpipe and test the gas cap. The car must be able to idle at 1300rpm or less.
