Anyone watch "The real world"
 

I hate that damn show my girlfriend is always watching it, MTV re-runs it relentlessly. I mean its always the same they always have a black guy a lesbian and a gay guy. What the hell is so real about living in a mansion and working cushy lil' BS jobs:rolleyes:

I was forced into watching it last night and this girl on there has a one night stand and then says "Oh, Ive never done this before" Yeah right:rolleyes:.

I am definitely going to have to get cable upstairs. Shes killing me.

Good vent, and I agree with you.

Never had to watch this trashy show but read about it and the premise is simple; put a bunch of disparate people together and contrive a series of artificial 'situations' then 'see what happens'. Bull.

How 'real' is the whole silly situation to begin with and how 'real' is anyone going to be with cameras pointed at you all the time? They audition people to be on this 'show'! It's acting. 'The Real World' ? Real Waste of Precious Time is more like it.

Yeah, get that cable upstairs before she rots your brain watching this nonsense.

I agree sometimes it's really trash. (But I watch it time to time, to see who are the 'new people' of the show.)
I mainly end up with a headache/ and the people make me sick because they blow things out of proportion. :mad:

I think there were two mustangs on there.
One a blue convert and a blue coupe. BUT they were in the lesbian fight scene, and they were dirty too. That show is starting to get on my nerves!!

The real world was the beginning of the end for MTV. Even though I'm in Canada, I've always had MTV on satellite and I used to love it back when they played these things called "music videos". These no longer exist because a bunch of idiots actually liked crap like the real world so they made so much of this crap that they didn't have time for music videos anyore. I watch Muchmusic 10x as much as MTV nowadays.

got to say i still watch MTV at my g/f's house because of only 2 of the shows; Cribs - which is frickin cool (i got this thing with nice houses owned by some really vain people lol), but the only reason i watch that show is for when the "star" shows what he/she drives. some people have the absolute dumbest crap pimped beyond reason, or they have some VERY incredible automobiles. btw, why does a 12 year old (Lil' Romeo) get not only his own house, but a pimped out BMW he's not going to be able to DRIVE for another 4 years?!?

the other show is the new one, the Osbournes. you know the "real life" sitcom of Ozzy Osbournes' family.........right. i must admit, that guy is probly the funniest freak in the music business. probly because of the countless different chemicals that have been through his body makes him look like he's in a constant time warp. it's good for a laugh though.

btw, if i have to look at Carson Daily one more time i'm gonna horf all over......

cribs is cool too I seen lil' romeo's house and car and man that has to be too cool to be 12 and own things like that. Even though he cant drive it for 4 more years he probably just wanted to out do lil' bow wow.

Remember when it was just music videos? I do. I remember the first night it came out. It was such a big deal, and it was cool. At the time, I lived in a small part of the San Fernando Valley that was in dispute between 2 or 3 cable companies as far as who got to "serve" that area. The result was no cable at all for several years after everyone else had cable. A friend of mine's sister was house-sitting for a couple in Encino, and we all went over there to watch the unveiling of MTV. It was a really big deal.

As far as the Real World, I have been known to watch it sometimes when there's nothing else on, if I kinda trip over it while channel surfing. For me, it pretty much tells me how out of tune I am with "kids" today. If I woke up tomorrow and was 18 again, I think I'd be screwed. At least in the MTV world.

Don't worry PKRWUD, when I saw that show back when I was 16 I was already out of touch! I'd be ashamed to be as big of a candyass as the punks on that show.

this seson of the show is filmed 20 mins from my house and like most of you already said, whats so real about livin in a $450,000 house i wicker park(must be nice!), and wokin a cushy "city" job!(woo hoo! life guarding for 12 weeks! BFD!)

i only watch this season just to see where they hang out at that ive been to. other than that the show is soooooooooooo pointless!
