Question Need advice on changing automatic to 4 speed

I am changing 1966-289 mustang from automatic to 4 speed. Do I have an engine plate between the block & transmission? If so can I use the automatic one or will I have to buy one for a 4 speed? Also will my driveshaft from the automatic fit the 4 speed? I bought a 1966 toploader & hurst shifter but still need to buy the rest of set-up.I still need bellhousing & fork,flywheel,z-bar with engine & frame mounts and linkage to fork & clutch pedal, clutch & brake pedal with housing. I want to thank you for any advice on my questions and parts request. Tony
