bad idle

I recently installed a 65mm throttle body and egr on my 88 5.0.And now I have a very erratic idle and has what seems to be a bad miss when you go to pull out.I have changed the idle air control and TPS both brand new. What could be the problem? Bad throttle body or what?help...

sounds like it could be a bad adjustment on the TPS. check it and see. if not, check the failure codes. that should point you in the right direction.

I have the same problem with my 70mm TB. If you give the car a tiny bit of gas, and I mean tiny, does the idel calm? If yes, you can just drill a small whole in the TB blade. Start with the smallest bit and work your way up. You will have a higher idel, but should level it off. I have not done this to mine because I may be selling it. Maybe someone here has done it....

Good luck, Eric

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me, IMHO.
