Exclamation Bye bye Canada, hello USA

Well guys, it's coming up really fast. This is my last work week in Canada for sometime.

First thing Wednesday morning I fly off to Edmonton to get the wife and drive the Stang to my new home in Dallas TX, USA!

I'll be living down there for almost a year.

Unforetunately I won't be posting very much for the next month or so, but as soon as I get settled in Dallas I'll sign in.

I'm hoping that things go well down there. I've never lived out of Canada before but if the people are as friendly as they have been on a couple of visits, I think things will be OK. I'm just going to be happy that I don't have a freezing a$$ Canadian winter to worry about again this year . I'm also hoping that I can pull some cash together to take advantage of the cheap (compared to Canada) aftermarket parts!

If I don't get a chance to post tomorrow or tuesday, this will be it for a while .

Cheers!

This could also read "goodbye state-run health care...hello HMOs!" Hehe. Seriously though, hope you get settled quickly. Personally, I would never live in Texas (again). I grew up there and I'm not a fan. Why are you moving all that way for just a year?

Cool

Whoa, I've got 5 minutes here while cleaning the office!

I was transfered to Texas to train/work for a year. I am an engineer with Ingersoll-Rand.

Hey I think this is post 800! Another 5 or 6 years at this rate and as long as Mr. 5.0 stops posting altogether I'll catch up!

Hi,
Wasn't part of Texas just hit by a major flood? I think I saw damages in the amount of $1 billion, on the news just a while ago.

Not that Im trying to scare you...

Bye!

Good Luck! I'll be looking on T.V. for the guy in the Oiler's jersey when they're in town to play the stars

Dallas isn't anywhere near the bad flooding. That was down by Houston. One good thing about living in Dallas is you won't have to garage the car all winter.

Well, you'll get this message when you sign in next at your new home.

I was down in Dallas looking for a solid used Fox body's. I couldn't find a decent one that didn't need some serious work for under 5k. Did find one guy with a "temporary heater core." I almost died, there was this radiator box sitting on the passenger side floor, taking up the entire footwell with a fan on it, and a couple heater hoses running to it. The people down there are pretty friendly, most of them remarked how they always wanted to try snowmobiling.

Anyway, good luck down there, that's gonna be one hell of a drive. I did the Phoenix drive last year 1800mi one way. Made it in 26hrs with a two hour nap. Hehe, I don't really recommend that by the way. LOL.

Hey Guys, just at my parents house in Kelowna BC, Canada. They have a cable modem, and boy is this thing FAST!. I'm going to have get one sometime.

The drive here was pretty good so far. Some real twisty roads to test the handling of the car .

I think I'm going to die when I get to Dallas (Actually I'll be in Garland) it is only 86*F here and that is almost too hot for me!

I cross the border tomorrow morning, hopfully I don't get held up there.

Got to fly now, dam only time for one post, I never even got to read Lizards new baby thread .

see y'all later
