![]() im converting my 89 lx from aod to c4 tryin to figure out the misadjusted lockup problem and i need a c-4 shifter cable or rod for a 83 down ford discontinued it in 88 parts houses in my area cant get it any help will be greatly appreciated

You could always just use a aftermarket shifter that uses a cable.

![]() Yeah dude, get a B&M or something, they work well. Just an FYI don't get the cheapie plastic POS that looks like chrome...unless you're on a tight budget, of course.
![]() If you're referring to the "kickdown rod" for a C4 trans, just read the FAQ's on a transmission-based site like Lentech or Baumann Engineering. I'm not exactly sure about it, but I believe the stock cable can be modded to work (welding & fabbin' required). If not, try various years and models of pickup truck parts. They're cheap and in ready supply at junkyards. They used the three-speed automatics for a looooong time after they stopped putting them in cars.
