Question Porting a Trick Flow intake

I have a 90gt spd and just got 3:73's, headers and offroad H pipe and Just received my trick flow street heat upper and lower intake and before I install it I wanna get it ported now I have a buddy with a shop that will port my upper and lower for cheap so what should I go with just tell him a simple polish just to clean out all the pits and burs that come from the factory or is there a percentage I should tell him to port it, I'm a daily driver and just lookin for some extra HP outta this intake.

are you running stock heads? if so porting isn't going to do a whole lot if anything and it could actually hurt your performance i think the ports on the tfs intakes are already a little larger than the factory cast iron heads and if you port them out a little more what you end up with is a lip that the incoming air slams into going from the intake into the head if your serious about porting then get a good set of aftermarket heads or have your factory heads port matched to the intake.

I was planning on eventually gettin some TFS heads but now that you mention it I think I will wait till I get some aftermarket heads and then just get the whole package done, thanks.

I'm just getting it polished out, my buddy's gonna just clean out all the inperfections from the factory and try keeping it as close as he can to the stock specs, thanks for the info again.
