Buy my fiancee a Mustang race car?
In a quandry here. My fiancee loves going to the track and watching me race and would like to try racing herself. Talked to a guy this evening who has a 78' Mustang for sale. I know, a 78' is not one of the best Mustangs produced. Antually, they are the ugliest.
Anyway, it has a 302 with a C4 w/ a b&m shifter, 9 inch, line lock, and a cage. Skinnies with new slicks in the rear. The car is primered and with a little sanding will be ready to paint. The car is a high 12, low 13 second car and is ready to go. I can get the car for a mere $1400. Sounds like a good starter car and if she decides she doesn't like racing I think I can get my money back and maybe make some. What do you all think???? |
I say go for it man, For that, you can get your money back.. Let her try it.. but remember if she does really like driving.. Youve just spent your retirement.. :D

I'd say go for it. What do you have to lose? I could have sold her a Fully race prepped 89 GT..with no motor or tranny :)

1400? get it kevin, thats a great price, if she decides she doesnt want it , i know a guy who would buy it, he's dying for a hot rod. cya. ;) :D :D :D

I had a '77 with motor and trans work done. You would not believe how easy it is to pick a fight in a car like that! Almost the most fun I had in high school:D
