Call the guys at AFR and talk to them. They're great they'll give you all kinds of info. I'm planning on buying a 185 set shortly. They explained to me that you have greater flexibility with stud mount rockers because you can compensate easier if you have minor variations in push rod length.

I have AFR 165cc's. Get the stud mounted style heads. Gives you more flexibility to run a bigger camshaft. My pushrods are Manley heavy duty with the stock length.

I got the Ped. mount ones.. got a good deal on 1.7's... soo...
used the stock pushrods with no probs...if you get stud mount, you'll need hardened puchrods...

How heavy is your car dark knight? I am thinking of getting the afr 165's with 1.7 roller rockers and keeping the stock camshaft for a while, but i see that you have kinda low trap speeds with that combo. Just curious... Also, what chamber size do you have? 58, 60 or 64cc?

the 165cc ped mount only come in 60cc chambers. even though their catalog says differently (for some reason they won't change it). call them up and varify.

Cool

SlowWhiteGT, 3400#... it's a convert..I was happy with the MPH...I'm running a performerEGR 4v intake and a 600 holley... I better intake will put it up around 105-106... BTW, the air temp was 106* when I ran the 102+ ;-)
FWIW, I went from 100.2 to 102.5 by just putting BBK headers on in place of the stock ones... I might still be able to pick up more MPH, that was the 1st time out with the headers...need to figure the best shift point... gonna dyno it next week...
