can i get some help on finding a place in illinois where i could get some good not over priced parts for an 83 mustang? a couple of things that i need are a roll cage, performeance engine, performance trans, NOS, and racing slicks. thanx from an aspiring racer. ![]() ![]() |

![]() Anderson Ford Motorsport is in central Illinois, about 3-3.5 hours from Des Plains. They aren't the cheapest, but the most knowledgable shop I have ever dealt with. They do have an in-house chasis dyno and that service is reasonable, about $80/session. I'm sure there are reputable shops in the Chicagoland area that carry Mustang parts and know-how. Try to search for a local Mustang club and inquire where they may purchase parts. Some clubs get "special" rates at some dealers. Good luck.
