I think 20k is a little too much for that car. I was looking for a 93 Cobra about 6 months ago and found a couple. The best one was a red one with grey leather. It had...get this...500 miles on it!!!! Beautiful car. The owner bought it in 93 but never drove it. It just sat in storage and so he wanted to sell it. He was asking 22k for it. If I would have has the $$, I would have bought it but oh well...what can you do!

If I was going to go hunting for a car like that I'd have to get one that had at least 75,000 miles on it. Fewer than that and I'd feel guilty every time I drove it. Especially if it only had 500 miles on it. Wow.

Yeah, $19,900 is a bit much for that car, but I think they realize how rare they are so they jack the price up a little. They have another one for a bit less with a few more miles on it. It would be worth considering if someone was actually looking for one.

I'm looking for a 91 notchback in halfway descent condition myself. I found one for $2400 but a friend jumped on it before I even had a chance to look at it. It's supposed to be sweet and all stock. If anyone finds one close to Indiana for a good price email me

Mustang Marty:

Nope, I didn't get it yet. I called VOPC today and it said that on August 30th, my vehicle was released from the assembly plant. Being right over in Pittsburgh, I can't imagine that I have much more than a week to wait...

My payments aren't too bad...I think they are going to end up being around $360/mo for 60 months. I can live with that.

How much did you have to put down to get that low of a payment? Just curious. I went and looked at one and they were telling me it would be in the $450/month price range.

I'm putting $6500 down. I sold my 91 for $5800 so I only had to come up with $700 for the rest of the down payment. I'm getting my car for invoice too ($22707.90). I might just put $6000 down and save the extra $500 for gears and a shifter...Hmmm....

Before I ordered my GT, I was looking at a Cobra. It was 29k for a 2001 coupe...spoiler, chrome wheels, everything. I figured that I could put about 8k down on it so I would only be paying off 21k. With 8k down, my payments would have been $509/mo!!! I just laughed at the salesman and ordered a GT.
