Generally, each car length (15-17 ft.) is about .1 second (100 mph) at the 1/4 mile. So 2-3 lengths would be about .2-.3 that he got you by.

Also, my car runs about 9.0@80 in the 1/8 and finishes somewhere about 14.0@99 in the 1/4 if that helps any.
