![]() I never plan to name my cars but a few of the many have been named.
In one of the lord of the rings books they name a mule after the guy they bought it from, so i had an omni named "Ron" My first tempo i named the machine because i was listening to pink floyd the first day i had it. My topaz was the machine II because same car. My 71 skylard was Duke only because it was yellow and some girls had taken to calling it daisy so i had to establish a tougher name ![]() My first mustang was a 91 i called it the machine revisited, not really a name. My 98 doesnt have a name but i dubbed it a TG instead of a GT to reflect my initials. |

My 64 1/2 with the 289 is Diane. Named after my Ex-Girlfriend because they share a few charectoristics. Sleek, Sexy, Fast, likes to play, but its also tempermental, moody and finikie. At least my car didnt cheat on me several times. ![]() My other 64 1/2, that has a 170 6 cyl, is named Jolene. Once again after one of my Ex-Girlfriends that shares some things in common. I'm still friends with Jolene. ------------------ 64 1/2 "D" code Red Mustang Coupe. 289, C4, Mallory duel point. ![]() My $.02. A car will name it self in due time. You will notice a certain qirk(sp)that it has, or something will happen that will cause a name to pop into your head. Don't rush it. My baby started off as Christy, but that name didn't fit her well. She later named herself thrue her behavior, Marbles. I have gotten sooo many compliments on her name. Every one thinks it is cool and real weird at the samt time. Gives her character.

![]() i had a '78 F150 4x4 that was "dubbed" the peach beast because it was huge and had a 70's tanish, orangish color that i have yet to see duplicated.
My '83 Zephyr that i had for a year everyone called the "Zephinator" or "the zeph" and for some odd reason everyone liked it. My mustang is devoid of a name, but i call it "junkyard stew" becuase of it's numerous boneyard parts (as well as that when i bought it the thing should have been commited to a junkyard) I've had several other cars, but these cars (which also happen to be my favorites) are the only ones that the names stuck. ------------------ '84 Mustang 5.0 LX My car |

![]() My car's name is baby because it is my baby. I take care of it like it's a little child and if anyone ever hurt her I'd probably cry.

![]() My Notch is named Belle right now, but we'll have to see how long that lasts. It's kind of a combination of things in my life really, plus the fact the original color of the car (and the color it's going to be in a month) is Smoke. Smoke is a silvery-gray...silver...silver bell...get it?
My Capri is yet to be named, but my '85 4-banger is usually referred to as $hitty-$hitty-bang-bang. ![]() ------------------ Capri306, Moderator, The Mustang Works Online 1979 Mercury Capri, 5.0L -- C4 -- 2.73 1987 Mustang LX Notch |

![]() most of my cars seem to aquire names with time.my 87 i haven't owned long enough to name.the 78 seemed to take on the name "the mustake"(not that it's a mistake)and the capri seems to have taken the name "the crappy"(not that it's crappy).both cars are kinda in pre restored shape and i've put a million miles on them.so the nicknames just kinda stuck.......i had a 78 couger that adopted the name "the vessle" becouse it was two big to call "the boat".....i had a subaru called "the scooby-roo"......a72 pontiac bonaville called "the beast"and a 76f150 called"big red"(that one stuck from previos owner).....well if had a whole lot of different cars and it seems like i never call em there origanal names but those were the names that stuck to perticular cars. haven't come up with one for the 87....
