Default Computer Question

I know some of you are computer nerds so I hope yall can answer this question for me....

I have a EPoX 8k7a mobo and a 1.54 AMD XP chip running on Windows XP Pro. I upgraded form a 1.1GHz AMD with 266fsb to the 1.54 XP with 266fsb. When I start up my PC, it only shows 1100MHz at 200fsb in the BIOS and in my OS. The jumpers on my board are set to "auto detect". I flashed my BIOS with the newest one that EPoX had in December. The date is either 10/13/01 or 10/17/01. I can't remember, but I know it's one of those two dates. I seen a place in my BIOS where I can "adjust" the clock speed. The range is from 100-250. I changed it to 154 and it displayed the speed at 1111MHz then after one reboot, it changed back to 1100MHz. That is the deal? Thanks for yalls help!
